Stampin’ Up! Painted Glass Eclectic Layers Sympathy Card

Happy Monday!  I keep saying that on Monday, even though Monday…bleh – cu maybe one day I’ll believe it!  Regardless – hope you had a great weekend and that your week is starting out well!

If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video – I appreciate you spending part of your weekend with me and hope you enjoyed it!  If not, but would like to watch the replay, here ’tis!

This card is an “eclectic” mix of goodies from the new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog and fun items that are continuing on from the outgoing catalog!  The Share What You Love Specialty DSP (get it TOMORROW!!) pairs with some flowers from the Eclectic Layers Thinlits.  Then I added sentiments from the new Painted Glass stamp set and the RETIRING Thoughts & Prayers!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one comes from the FUSION challenge this week.

And the colors and other elements hail from The Card Concept photo inspiration.

I started by adhering a piece of Share What You Love Specialty DSP to a new Petal Pink card stock mat for the card front.

The next layer is new Balmy Blue, embossed in the new Lovely Floral Dynamic TIEF, then matted on Petal Pink and adhered to the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the new Painted Glass stamp set in Grapefruit Grove on Whisper White and cut it with the larger banner die from the new Lakeside Framelits.

With the Eclectic Layers Thinlits (carrying over – yeah!!), I cut a couple of detailed flowers in Grapefruit Grove and one in Petal Pink.  I also cut solid flowers in the same colors – and a couple of leaves from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.

I used a few Glue Dots to wind some of the new 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon in a couple of big loop-dy loops.  Then I built the collage using Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals, using the pieces and parts I’d cut out with the Eclectic Layers Framelits.  I threw in some Silver Metallic Thread loops and a few new Leaves Trinkets with Glue Dots while I was at it.

As you can see, the sentiment banner is nestled in there, too!  And that was it for the card front.

On the inside, I inked the detailed flower image from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set in Grapefruit Grove and stamped it off twice, then stamped it in the middle of a Whisper White panel.  Over the top, and using the Stamparatus, I stamped the sentiment from Thoughts & Prayers in full-strength Grapefruit Grove.

I matted the panel on Petal Pink and then adhered it into the Balmy Blue card base, used Liquid Glue to adhere the card front on and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a few Oh So Eclectic flowers in full-strength Grapefruit Grove on the front…

…and I added some more of the Share What You Love Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love how all the various pieces and parts come together to create a cohesive collage card, don’t you?  The gorgeous Share What You Love Specialty DSP plays a solid supporting role, letting the carrying-over Eclectic Layers take center stage.  I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Today I spent some time printing mailing labels for the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogs which will go out mid-May (hint – if you’re hoping for a catalog but aren’t sure if you’re on my list… give me a shout!).

Like the good Supporting Demonstrator he is, Finny gave me a hand.

Paw.

I guess it’s more like moral support than actual “help”….  🙂

Y’all – while I messing around in my photos today, I came across this one.

It’s from a while back.

His first day with me, in fact.

It’s just so stinkin’ cute I had to share it again!

I can hardly remember when he was that little! Can you?! 🙂

Loved your card from last night. I watch the video from the show.

Thanks for the Finn report and “memory lane” photo. I first found you from one of your sneak peek cards on Pinterest long ago. I like the card, but was enchanted by the Finn report. Having lost a wonderful friend, Finn warmed my heart. I subbed, loved the way you used the product, but I must admit I alway read the Finn report first and then admired the cards. lol

Now, I’m a firm devotee of your cards and weekly videos and still cherish the Finn reports
