Stampin’ Up! Peacocks, Petals and More for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Thursday, y’all – and welcome to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! It’s color week and we’ve got the full complement of hoppers today!  Do be sure to check out all their projects when you’re done here, won’t you?

I pulled out a fun and pretty Sale-A-Bration stamp set – the Beautiful Peacock set from the first release – and combined it with a surprise addition to the SAB line-up – the wonderful Petals & More Thinlits.  Take a look-see:

Can you guess the colors for this week’s challenge!? 🙂

The layout is one I borrowed from this week’s Sunday Stamps challenge.

I started by adhering a panel of Lemon Lime Twist Fresh Florals DSP (from the Annual Catalog!) onto the front and inside of a Thick Whisper White card base.  Then I created my layers from Whisper White and Basic Gray card stock.

The largest (bottom) layer is embossed in the Garden Trellis TIEF before being matted on Basic Gray with Fast Fuse.

The middle layer is an unadorned Whisper White panel on Basic Gray.

The final layer, on the top, got rounded corners – courtesy of the outside corner rounder on the Envelope Punch Board!

With the pretty images in the Beautiful Peacock stamp set, I stamped the feather image in Dapper Denim – stamping the image twice without re-inking – and the leaves image once in stamped-off-once Lemon Lime Twist.  I also added a bunch of little Lemon Lime Twist dots with the handy dots stamp.  Then I added it to the card front with Fast Fuse.

The Petals & More Thinlits (available FREE with a $100 purchase from the new SAB line-up!) gave me a Lemon Lime Twist branch – that I cut into smaller sprigs – and a Basic Gray bird.

I adhered the sprigs with Liquid Glue and added Stampin Dimensionals to the back of the bird.  I used those Dimensionals to wind loops of Silver Metallic Thread several times, and then popped it over the card front.

The sentiment starts with a Lemon Lime Twist die cut from Petals & More Thinlits, which I adhered with Liquid Glue.

Then I stamped the Petal Palette sentiment in Dapper Denim on Whisper White and cut it out with the die in Petals & More.  I edged it with my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker and popped it on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  A single Lemon Lime Twist Tutti-Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequin finished it all off!

On the inside, I added more of the Beautiful Peacock feathers in Dapper Denim and leaves and dots in Lemon Lime Twist to a Whisper White panel.

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Basic Gray mat and into the prepared card base, Fast Fuse’d the card front to the front and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Beautiful Peacock flourishes, leaves and dots on the front…

…and a bit more of the Fresh Florals DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the flourishes and leaves in the Beautiful Peacock stamp set, don’t you?  And the Petals & More Thinlits is one of my favorite new die sets – and…Free with just a $100 purchase?  Come on, now!  Hope you like!
