Stampin’ Up! Musical Seasonal Layers for the Stamp Ink Paper #122

Mornin’, y’all!  Before we get started – wanted to let you know that the Pining for Plaid Paper Pumpkin kit is sold out. I think it went in about 2 hours!  Yikes!

Now, it’s a Tuesday in October, so once again I’m bringing you a project from this week’s Stamp Ink Paper challenge – where I’m a Guest Designer this month (thanks, you guys!)!  I do hope that you’ll take inspiration from the challenge and use it to make a project of your own!

This week’s challenge, #122, was a product feature challenge! And that product is…Washi tape!

Now- I kind of love Washi Tape – and especially the new Year of Cheer Specialty Washi tape, so I knew that was what I’d use.  I ended up adding a sentiment from the Musical Season stamp set, a few leaves from the Colorful Seasons bundle and a couple three stars from Add a Little Glitz.   Take a look-see!

So – even with a starting point, I found a couple more “helps” to get going.

First, the sketch challenge from Sunday Stamps helped with the layout.

And I got some more inspiration from the photo at the Card Concept.  I’d call my card Clean and Layered!

Finally – cuz…why not?  I let this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge give me that last little bit of inspiration.  I went right down the left side!

So – I started out with a piece of Whisper White card stock and, using the fun star image from Add a Little Glitz, I heat embossed them in Silver several times across the lower half of the card.  Once the stars were cooled off, I used the new Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape and wrapped a few pieces across the panel.  Finally, I matted it on a piece of Champagne Foil.

My sentiment is from the new Musical Season stamp set – I heat embossed it in Silver on a strip of Whisper White.

I made three leaves – I stamped and heat embossed two in Silver using the stamped image from Colorful Seasons and then cut them out with the matching die in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  Using my new Stampin’ Blends in Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie, I colored the leaves.

The third leaf is cut with the detailed die in Seasonal Layers from a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper.

I adhered the leaves to the card front with Liquid Glue and popped my sentiment strip over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  My bow was created with – wait for it – two lengths each of Silver, Gold and Copper Metallic Threads.  I added it to the card front with a scrunched up Glue Dot.

To finish the card front, I added a Pearl Basic Jewels to the middle of the bow and several more scattered about the design.

On the inside, I stamped another leaf from Colorful Seasons in Versamark Ink onto a Whisper White panel, sprinkled it with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heated it up.  Then I colored it with the Stampin’ Blends I’d used on the front.  A couple more rows of Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape completed the picture!

I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Champagne Foil mat and into my Thick Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Year of Cheer Specialty Washi across the front…

…and a few more Colorful Seasons Silver-embossed leaves on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape adds a gorgeous shimmer to this kind of transitional Fall card – and the Musical Season stamp set lent the perfect sentiment, I think!  Of course, there’s no denying the beauty of the delicate leaves from the Colorful Seasons bundle, is there? I think it could work for Christmas or a wedding (particularly a wedding at this time of year!).  Hope you like!

We’ve got a couple of specials that are drawing rapidly to a close – so be sure to scroll down and check them all out! 🙂
