Good Monday mornin’, y’all! I can say that today and it isn’t even an oxymoron!
I won’t be picking up the blackberry (which is actually an iPhone now, but…I’ve been saying “blackberry” for so many years now…15?…that I can’t seem to change) or firing up the work computer. So…Good Monday!! 😉
If you were able to join me last night for my Facebook Live video – thanks for spending a little bit of your long weekend with me! If not, and you’d like to watch the replay, here it is!
I used the Night in Bethlehem stamp set and the bundled Bethlehem Edgelits (save 10% when you buy them together!!) and added a little bit of pretty paper from the Christmas Around the World DSP to make my pretty Christmas card. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch challenge at the Global Design Project.
I started with a piece of Christmas Around the World DSP and matted it to a Smoky Slate panel for the card front. The sentiment, from Night in Bethlehem, is stamped in Pool Party on the Whisper White panel and also matted on Smoky Slate.
I took a Silver Foil Snowflake and cut it into 8 wedges, then used my Grid Paper to help me line them up and adhered them to the back of the sentiment with Liquid Glue. Be sure the Silver side is up! The creamy color on the back is pretty and useful, but…not so much on this card! 🙂
Then I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Using the “cityscape” dies in the Bethlehem Edgelits, I cut one in Silver Foil and one in Basic Gray. I put a half of a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional under each of the end palm trees on the Basic Gray die cut and then used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.
With Liquid Glue, I added the Silver Foil cityscape die cut – making sure that the bottoms lined up.
I wrapped a piece of Pool Party Baker’s Twine twice around, securing it in the back with scotch tape. Then I used a Glue Dot to add a silver Year of Cheer star embellishment and a double bow. A Rhinestone Basic Jewel finished it off!
On the inside, I lightly sponged a city scene in Pool Party using the “stencil” that remained from cutting the Bethlehem Edgelit die cut. Then I added a second Night in Bethlehem sentiment in Pool Party and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
I Fast Fuse’d the panel to a Smoky Slate mat and into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
On the front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope, I sponged a second city scape in Pool Party…
…and then added a little more Christmas Around the World DSP to the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This Night in Bethlehem and its matching Bethlehem Edgelits has to be one of my favorite sets in the new Holiday Catalog – I just love it. I hope you like it, too!!
Don’t miss out on Double Peppermints, y’all! Not for nuthin’ – if you buy the Night in Bethlehem Clear Bundle and the Christmas Around the World DSP to make this card…boom! You’ve got enough right there to get those Double Points!
Just sayin’…

Finn-Fan Fix
Now, y’all that have dogs. Help me out here.
What do your dogs do when they want to play?
Bring you their toy?
Stand in front of you and cry piteously?
Jump in your lap when you’re not looking?
Finn does…all of those things.
And…
Questions?
I didn’t think so.

What a beautiful card Mary! The colors and the layout are perfect. Great video last night too! 🙂
Thanks, Amy! I was glad you could join us!! 🙂
I guess that means he wants to play 🙂 and I want to play with the stamp set and dies. Not sure if I can change the card up because it is still so beautiful even after last night!
Thanks so much, Karen! I appreciate it! And yes – he definitely wants to play. Pretty much eat – play – sleep – play – sleep – play – eat – repeat… Have fun with the bundle! 🙂
Beautiful card…design, colors, sentiment. Perfect!
What’s to say? Finn is a master of communication as well as a canine good citizen.
Indeed – he mentioned joining Toastmasters just the other day. They’re going to need a shorter podium… Thanks, Mom! 🙂
Just beautiful, love this set and can’t wait to try it out. Your colors and layout are perfect, too! 🙂
Thanks so much, Jari!! 🙂
Oh my goodness! Gorgeous card! That trinket is so perfect as the star👍 It amazes me how you are able to catch Finn’s very thoughts on “film”. Lol!! I see that same face here when Killian needs to “run his butt”! 😂 Enjoy your Monday!!
Well – he’s not overly subtle….;) Thanks much, Elisha – have a great week! 🙂
So beautiful! I had to catch your video after the fact, but it was good and I enjoyed it. Well, not as much as if I could have joined in the conversation, but still. Thank you.
And thank you for saying that it is a CHRISTMAS card. My sentiments exactly!
Yep! Christmas! Thanks so much, Julie – and get some rest!! 🙂
I love how you have the star above the buildings! Great idea!
Thanks, Susan! The Year of Cheer embellishments just seemed like too good an idea! 🙂
Lovely card!!!!=) LOL Finn… Daisy will bring you her toy, sit down at your feet and just stare at you, lol, sometimes she does this jumping twist thing to get my attention. Like she is a acrobat. Animals are super fun!.
Thanks much, Tam! And yes. Yes they are! 🙂
