Stampin’ Up! Colorful & Delightful Daisy Thank You

Good morning!!  I hope your weekend is going well!

This afternoon, I’ll be taking the Finn-ster to our first obedience class.  Time for him to figure out that he can behave nicely even with other dogs and people around!  It’s step one towards my goal to do pet therapy with him!  Once I get home, I’ll be getting ready to do my Sunday night Facebook Live with y’all.  Not sure yet what we’re going to make, but…I think we’ll have fun!  So be sure to come on over to my Facebook page at 8pm Eastern this evening.  Here’s a link right to the page!

Now for today, I really tried to resist my strong desire to use my new favoritest bundle from the new catalog – the Daisy Delight bundle.

I tried.

And failed. 🙂

So I paired it up with some Color Theory DSP (also available 1 June) and this is what I ended up with.  Take a look-see:

I played along with a couple of challenges on this one.  The first, from Freshly Made Sketches, inspired the layout.

And the color scheme is from the CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

I elected to use Dapper Denim for my navy color, and began by SNAILing a piece of the Color Theory DSP Stack to a Powder Pink mat.  Powder Pink is one of the new 2017-2019 In Colors!

My center panel is simply a piece of Whisper White, matted on Powder Pink card stock and SNAILd to the card front.

I used a little Liquid Glue to adhere a piece of Powder Pink card stock to the Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from Daisy Delight in Dapper Denim on Whisper White and popped it over the Powder Pink mat with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For my flowers, I stamped the large flower image from Daisy Delight in Powder Pink four times on some Whisper White card stock, and cut them out with the Daisy Punch.

I used a Blender Pen to brush some Pink Pirouette ink near the center of the flowers, and then used Liquid Glue to stack two together.  I popped the flowers onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a couple of Clear Faceted Gems (coming in the new catalog on 1 June) to the middles.

On the inside, I stamped some more Daisy Delight flowers in Powder Pink in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  Once again, I brushed Pink Pirouette onto the petals and the center of the flowers with a Blender Pen.  Then I used the flower-middle image in Daisy Delight to stamp a Powder Pink middle.  Finally, I added a second Daisy Delight sentiment in Dapper Denim.

I SNAILd the panel to a Powder Pink mat and into my Dapper Denim card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a couple more Powder Pink Daisy Delight flowers on the front…

…and I added a little more of the Dapper Denim Color Theory DSP to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I couldn’t help it, y’all.  I just love this set!!  Daisy Delight and the matching Daisy Punch.  Wow!  I hope you like – and….well.  You know the rest!  Get your wish lists ready!!

Finn-Fan Fix…

Well, he’s back.  Finn has got his groove back!

But – he still didn’t have it on Friday night.  He only made it about half way to the barn with me when I went to tuck the horses in.

Guess he figured he was still meeting the intent of taking care of me, long as he could see me!

Or at least hear me!

Once he got back in the house, though….the great weariness overcame him once again….

Yes.  It overcame him right in the middle of chewing his bone.  One second he was chewing and then….asleep.

Check the tongue! And the fang sticking out.  LOL

Ridiculously cute.

He’s adorable and so is your card. Finn reminds me of a toddler. Fighting sleep and then zonk. Too cute.
