Stampin’ Up! Pop of Pink Layering Love for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

HappyStampersBlogPostBanner-2
Mornin’, y’all –  welcome to another edition of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop.  This is the first hop in the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog and I’m bettin’ you see some super fun projects from all the ladies!  I hope you have your catalog and are making your wish list! 🙂

We all worked with what is one of my favorite color combinations – black, white and pink.  Pink in the form of Melon Mambo!

June 2-3For my card, I used the Swirly Scribbles Framelits and a little of the matching Swirly Bird stamp set, and the star of the show is a sentiment from Layering Love – displayed in a couple of hearts from the new Sweet & Sassy Framelits set.  Take a look-see:

Pop of Pink Layering Love 4 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I started out by building my center panel – cutting a piece of Pop of Pink DSP and SNAILing to a Basic Black mat.  Over that went the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment image from Layering Love on a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut it with the smallest Sweet & Sassy Framelit heart that it would fit in.  I matted it on a Melon Mambo heart – cut with the next largest die.  Don’t they just go together like George and Gracie?

George Burns?  Gracie Allen?  Say good-night, Gracie….

No?  Nuthin’?

Sorry.

Anywho – I SNAILd the two hearts together, colored the little heart with my Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker and then added them to my layered center panel.

Pop of Pink Layering Love 3 - Stamps-N-Lingers

With that ready to go, I took a Whisper White panel and scattered a bunch of the splatter image from Swirly Bird all over the top part of the panel in Basic Black Archival Ink.  Then I added some Melon Mambo hearts – from Layering Love – over the splatters.

Pop of Pink Layering Love 2 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I used the Swirly Scribbles Framelits to cut out two large swirly-do’s and two medium-sized ones from Melon Mambo card stock.  Then I used lots of little tiny dots of Multi-purpose Liquid Glue to adhere them to the card front – making sure that they extended out past my center panel.

I popped the center panel – with it’s heart sentiment – over the graphic splatters and Swirly Bird swirly do’s with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The final touch was the addition of a few It’s My Party Enamel dots in Melon Mambo.  Now – when I made this card – these weren’t retired.  Now they are – but you can get the Brights Enamel Shapes (item 141680 $9) in the new catalog!

Pop of Pink Layering Love 1 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I SNAILd it all to a Basic Black mat and the card front was done!

On the inside, I first wrapped a piece of Melon Mambo Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape across the bottom of a Whisper White panel.  Then I added more Layering Love hearts in Melon Mambo and SNAILd it to a Basic Black mat.

Pop of Pink Layering Love 5 - Stamps-N-Lingers
I SNAILd it into my Melon Mambo card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

For the Whisper White Medium Envelope, I added some more of the Melon Mambo Washi from the Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape across the front – snipping the excess with my awesome Paper Snips – and added a few more Layering Love hearts…

Pop of Pink Layering Love 6 - Stamps-N-Lingers
…and gave it a designer flap with the same Pop of Pink DSP paper that I used on the center of the card front.  You remember how I did that – yes?  Ran a thin line of Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue around the edge of the outside of the flap.  Then I laid the DSP over the flap – aligning the edge of the paper with the top of the flap.  Finally, do a quick fussy-cut around the edge of the flap.  Easy peasy!

Pop of Pink Layering Love 7 - Stamps-N-Lingers
Et Voila.  Black and white and pink.  Classic!  And just made for the Pop of Pink DSP.  Hope you like!
