Stampin’ Up! Rose Wonder Watercolor Beautiful Blessing

Happy Friday! I’m peering at you thru the miasma of yellow-green-pine-pollen-plogged eyeballs! The world has become a yellow fog here in the South. Just about the time the temps rose back into the I-want-the-windows-open range, too. But you just can’t do it – or that crud will be all over everything. So…we hunker in our “air tight pollen resistant” houses and glare resentfully outside. Waiting. Waiting. Hoping there’ll be a few days – weeks would be better – between the end of Pollen Season and the start of Hot Humid Season.

And keeping the rescue inhaler in the pants pocket! 🙂

So, today’s card is a spring-y card, again (no, I didn’t use any yellow embossing powder….), that uses the Rose Wonder Suite – which includes the bundled Rose Wonder stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlits! And I did a little watercoloring today with my Aqua Painter. Take a look-see:

Mornin’, y’all – it’s Thursday and that means it’s Blog Hop Day! Welcome back for another edition of the Happy Stampers Blog Hop! For the moment, grab a cuppa something cozy and settle in for a spell.

We all worked with a color challenge filled with bright colors – colors that just called me to the Have a Cuppa suite of goodies in the Occasions catalog.

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Builder Hello

Hey, y’all – welcome back. Glad that you could stop by on this Wednesday – Hawp Day! I have a confession to make to you. Yesterday I told you that I pretty much never run out of Pearl Basic Jewels. That was sort of a fib. I didn’t realize it was a fib until I went to make today’s card. When I got to the point where I needed to find my flower centers – they were pretty much begging to have Pearls in them! – I realized just how dire my circumstances had become.

Oh, I knew my supply was low – especially in the area of the tiniest of the pearls in a pack. I have none of those left. Nary a one! I have a smattering of medium sized ones and hooked-together straight strip ones. And tons of giant ones – cuz of how I seldom use that size.

So Monday – when I ordered the fringe scissors – when they were on sale – I grabbed a couple of Pearl Basic Jewel packs. Yes, of course I did, since they went on sale the very next day! 🙁 Not to say I won’t put in another order – I need those teeny tiny seed pearls! But, I hate missing a sale. I mean – I’m perfectly willing to spend $20 on pearl packs just cuz I can save $1.25 a pack. Aren’t you? 😉

Anywho – I decided to use the large pearls on this card – I hope they don’t look too awfully clunky to you! I used one of the new Annual Catalog DSPs – well, it was new last summer, anyway! – the Bohemian DSP. And I combined it with some flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits and a greeting from the Greetings Thinlits. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Circle of Spring Garden

Well, it’s Monday again. Funny how this day just keeps rolling around. One second it’s Friday night and the weekend seems like it’ll last forever…and the next, you’re sitting with a cat on your lap, balancing a laptop on a furry purring body, writing about Monday. Whaaaaaaaaat???

It was colder than a well-digger’s lunch bucket here today. Temps were in the 50’s but the wind’s just a blowin’ a gale! Brrrrrr!

I know – you click on this post each day just hoping and hoping for a weather update from Fayetteville, GA! 😉

So, even though it’s freezing outside, it’s also quite beautiful – partly cloudy with enough sun peeking thru to make it spectacular. Which means that making a card for Spring was just the right thing to do! I dove back into some of my not-so-brand-new stamp sets for this one…Circle of Spring gave me my focal point and sentiment, and the lovely Garden in Bloom contributed the oh-so-cute honey bee. Stampin’ Up! Pedal Pusher Number of Years Anniversary

Happy Sunday, y’all! Today. Was. Spectacular! It’s really trying to be Spring in the South – which means it’s going to be in the 30’s next week! But for today – the real harbingers of spring are springing! I’m talking about the Dogwood trees, of course!

They’re one of my very favorite trees – and they’re dotted all over our property. When they bloom, they look like those white fairy lights that folks put up in the trees in their yard. Only – we don’t have to put them up or pay for electricity! They’re just beautiful and I’m always hopeful to be home when they’re blooming – so….yeah! 🙂

Today’s card, as promised, is an Anniversary Card. Our friends celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Friday – so I wanted to send them a card. Okay – it’s a little late, but…I didn’t know it until late on Friday. So….

I thought the tandem bike in Pedal Pusher was a perfect focal point and I also wanted to use the Large Number Framelits. So I did – and added in a little Timeless Textures and Timeless Love! Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Sky’s The Limit Sunburst Congrats!

Happy Saturday! Today’s share uses a stamp set that’s not so much available – Sky Is The Limit. I try really hard to not use retired and discontinued things, but the card I made – the reason for the card! – just needed the images and sentiment that I used. You’ll see why in just a second!

I made this card to give to a young lady who just graduated from Delta Flight Attendant training. She’s Chris’ girlfriend – has been for a long time! – and so is definitely part of the “family”. We went over and had a celebratory dinner with her, and her parents and grandparents (and Chris’ parents, of course) last night, so I wanted to give her a card. Cuz…duh.

So – I needed an airplane. Sky Is The Limit was the only one I had. Easy decision! I added a Sunburst Thinlit die cut, and a couple of sentiments from the Sale-A-Bration set called Perfect Pairings. Take a look-see:

Stampin’ Up! Grateful Bunch Honeycomb Easter Lamb Four Panel Fun Fold

Good Friday morning to you! This week has flown by! I had a great time in Huntsville this week. Well, the work part was….tedious….but the rest of it was awesome! I had lunch twice with my friend Matt – one of the very wonderful young men who I’ve told you about this past year. He’s living in Huntsville – his brother Chris is up at UGA at Vet School! I’m so darned proud of them both – couldn’t be more so if I’d birthed them myself. They’re growing into just outstanding human people!! 🙂 Matt and I had a really good time. Definitely something to look forward to for future visits there.

For today, I have a card to share that’s a reprise of a four panel fun fold that I did a week or so ago. It’s going to be a quick explanation of the “fold” part – I’ve got the specifics over on my Tutorials Page! 🙂 This one uses the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set (Sale-A-Bration), Easter Lamb and Birthday Blossoms stamp sets. Stampin’ Up! Shamrocks Over the Rainbow for the Happy Stampers Blog Hop

Maidin mhaith, y’all – it’s Thursday and that means it’s Happy Stampers Blog Hop Day! And it’s also St. Patrick’s Day so I thought it would be good to give you an Irish greeting. Just so you know, that was “Good Morning, y’all”. Turns out there’s not really a translation for “y’all”! 😉

This week at the Blog Hop, we all worked on a sketch for you! I hope that you’ll check out all the other ladies’ offerings. It’s always fun to see how we all interpret the sketch.

I decided that, since it’s St. Patrick’s Day and all that, I’d bring you a little something with Shamrocks! Now, you’re probably asking yourself….”Self, why are Shamrocks associated with Ireland??” Well, perhaps this poem will help you….

Oh The Shamrock

Through Erin’s Isle,
To sport awhile,
As Love and Valor wander’d
With Wit, the sprite,
Whose quiver bright
A thousand arrows squander’d.
Where’er they pass,
A triple grass
Shoots up, with dew-drops streaming,
As softly green
As emeralds seen
Through purest crystal gleaming.
Oh the Shamrock, the green immortal Shamrock!
Chosen leaf
Of Bard and Chief,
Old Erin’s native Shamrock!
