Okay – it just occurred to me that I did a birthday card using the Large Numbers Framelits for the last Happy Stampers Blog Hop! Sorry about that – but it should really just go to show you how much fun and how versatile this set is! Wouldn’t surprise me if you see some other projects using it today in the Blog Hop. This week we had a Color Challenge – Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron. Of course, I’d left my Mint Macaron card stock at home. So…had to look to my DSP – and I found the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack. All three colors are well represented in this fun paper!
I combined a few sets for this project – deciding on the card when I realized that this year my husband will turn….duh duh duh duuuuuuh….SIXTY! Oh my goodness – how did that happen?? A little sobering. So I figured a not-so-sober card was in order. Of course, there has to be a little black on a birthday card for such an occasion!
So, I used the Number of Years bundle and combined some elements from Bear Hugs, Balloon Celebration and Party With Cake. Take a look-see:

Good morning, y’all! Just a few things to update you on – in addition to revealing this week’s Weekly Deals! Just a hint – the uber-cute Bear Hugs Framelits are on sale this week!
First off – there are some items in the Sale-a-Bration Flyer that are only available thru 15 Feb! And that’s like right around the corner – I know cuz I’ll be home by then! Whoo-hoo! If you’ve had your eye on….Sky is the Limit (stamp set!)….the Perfectly Artistic Designer Paper…or Hello (stamp set)…now’s the time to be getting your orders in and earning these fun SAB products for FREE! 🙂 After the 15th – we’ll get another set of Sale-A-Bration items. What will they be?!? Even I don’t know yet!
Another new item of note is the kickoff of a new way to share items that are on backorder. Whereas before today, you’d watch for the list of items on my blog post each day – from here on out, whenever you place an order thru my online store…you’ll get immediate feedback on the availability of that item. The system will tell you right then if your product is on backorder or is low in the inventory. If the item is on backorder, you’ll see a message letting you know that, along with a button giving you the chance to cancel or add the item anyway! So, it’ll be completely up to you. It’s always fun to see what the 7 of us in the group come up with – we’re all so different in our crafty aesthetic – so seeing our 7 very different takes on the same sketch is cool! So – two years ago (and one month from today), a lovely little girl was born to one of our favorite and most fun-to-have-around team members. At that time, I was just getting a feel for stamping and making cards. Hadn’t even heard of Stampin’ Up!, let alone availed myself of any of their wonderful crafting goodies. But, nonetheless, I made a welcome baby card. Don’t even have a picture of it. Yes, I wasn’t even a blogger then!! 😉

For today, as I make her second birthday card, I once again have wonderful Occasions and Sale-a-Bration products to use. Welcome welcome – to another edition of the Happy Stampers weekly Blog Hop! This week we all worked with some lovely colors – Rose Red, Whisper White and Gold!

My share uses the wonderful new Occasions bundle with the Rose Wonder stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlits ($49.25 for the bundle, a savings of 15%). I made a sympathy card – for my friends in Atlanta. They’ve lost too many of their 4-legged kids this past few months. But, here’s the thing. You could oh-so-easily make this exact card, minus one tiny element, and it would be a lovely sympathy card for any human person need! Take a look-see:

Good Tuesday morning, y’all! The 2016 Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration promotion are officially underway! You’ve been getting sneak peeks for several weeks now about what’s in the Occasions Catalog. You’ve probably received your very own copies. So – today’s the day we can give you a teensy taste of what’s coming in the 2016 Occasions Catalog! We got to do 3 make and take projects at the On Stage Live event last Saturday. Now, I haven’t had a chance to incorporate them into any projects yet – been a little busy packing and traveling! What we brought home are elements for a card – a couple of card fronts and an embellishment. I’ll be using them soon. But for now….since I know you’re dying for a peek, here you go!
One thing pretty cool about this catalog is that it contains lots of bundles – including some that are even bundled with PAPER!! And it has “suites” – a whole collection of thematically and color coordinated items – papers, embellishments, stamps, dies…. There are 6 Suites in the catalog. That’s in addition to a whole plethora of stand-alone products. It’s a pretty awesome catalog, folks! 🙂
The first item I’m going to share is from the new suite called Botanical Gardens (this one bundles with the stamp set, the matching Framelits and the gorgeous DSP!). If this isn’t my favorite, it’s surely tied for favorite! I just love everything about the suite – paper, stamps, framelits, embellishments and even some Washi Tape! Here’s the card front we made. The flowers are made with a die that cuts the flower and the inner petal all at once! You can see the pretty DSP – and we used the stamp set to add veins and flower centers onto the DSP. Added a lot of dimension and life to the paper, don’t you think?
