Stampin’ Up! Scalloped Blossoms & Blooms Birthday Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out the Bloom Boutique suites for this week’s hop – the color challenge demanded it of me – and turned it all into a pretty thank you card.  I used both of the bundles in the set – the Boutique Blossoms for the stamped and die cut foliage AND the Scalloped Blooms stamp set for the sentiments.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s the challenge!

I started with a 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ piece of the Bloom Boutique DSP that I matted on Peaceful Pine cardstock.  Using the matted square as a guide on a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Bloom Boutique DSP, I stamped a Scalloped Bloom sentiment in Peaceful Pine ink.

I matted the larger panel on Peaceful Pine and then adhered the small matted square with more Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the three-leaves outline from Boutique Blossoms three times in Peaceful Pine ink.  I inked the fill image in Peaceful Pine – tap-tap-tapped it with a Small Blending Brush – and then stamped inside the outline image.

I stamped the smaller Boutique Blossoms flower outline in Peaceful Pine.  The fill for that is Crisp Cantaloupe – tap-tap-tapped with the Small Blending Brush.

I cut out the flower and the three leaves images using the dies in the set.  Then I used two of the dies in the set to cut out some leaves from the Barely Blush 2026-2028 In Color Pearlized Specialty Paper.  I cut out two of the smaller three-leaf dies and one of the larger leaves, too.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the leaves to the card front.

I added a bow tied from two lengths of white Baker’s Twine and then stuck a few double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals – then used them to adhere my die cut flower over top.

I added some Crisp Cantaloupe 2026-2028 In Color Dots and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped second Scalloped Blooms sentiment in Peaceful Pine on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  In the corner, I stamped the small Boutique Blossoms bud mage in Peaceful Pine.  I stamped the fill images in tap-tap-tapped Crisp Cantaloupe (flower image) and tap-tap-tapped Peaceful Pine ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Barely Blush card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

Et Voila!  Well – if you’re loving the new 2026-2028 In Colors – then the Bloom Boutique Suite is the one you’re going to want!  With the DSP hacving ALL the colors – and the Boutique Blossoms bundle able to make flowers and leaves – stamped AND die cut – in all the colors (and more!) – you’re going to be very happy!  You’ll be wanting sentiments – and the coordinating Scalloped Blooms bundle will fill the bill perfectly! 🙂
