Stampin’ Up! Reindeer Fun Full of Cheer Christmas Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

My card today is super quick and easy – thanks to the fun Reindeer Days DSP and the coordinating Reindeer Fun bundle! Some pretty embossing from the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder adds a fun bump of texture.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our cool sketch – I LOVE angled panels! 🙂

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started with a full panel of jingle-bell-covered Reindeer Days DSP that I adhered to the front of my Real Red card base.

I ran a panel of Pecan Pie cardstock thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine in the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and matted it on Pool Party cardstock using Liquid Glue.

Then I adhered it to the front of the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the largest square Stylish Shapes die, I cut out two pieces of the Reindeer Days DSP.  I adhered the bell-covered piece to the card front with Liquid Glue and then added the second – with the deer – with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Pool Party cardstock, I stamped the Reindeer Fun sentiment in Real Red ink and cut it out with the large Stylish Shapes banner die.

I tied a simple bow with two lengths of Real Red & White Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.

Then I popped the sentiment over the top with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Real Red & White Adhesive-backed Peppermints and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Reindeer Fun sentiment in Real Red ink on a Basic White panel.  I stamped the cute tree a couple three times in Garden Green and the little snowflakes image in Pool Party to add a festive scene!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside the Real Red card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the little Reindeer Fun tree and some snowflakes on the front…

…and more of the Reindeer Days DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This card is a classic example of letting designer paper do all the work.  And the Reindeer Days DSP is very much up for the job, don’t you think!?  Add the coordinating Reindeer Fun bundle – the dies actually cut out several of the fun images in the DSP! – and you’re on your way to a really cute Christmas card!
