Stampin’ UP! Arched Woodland Wishes Holiday Greetings Christmas Card

Happy happy Monday, y’all!  Hope you’ve got a good week ahead of you!  And if you’re up on the east coast….I’m hoping you haven’t been too slammed by the nor’easter!  It’s been quite the storm! 🙁

Today’s card features the cute Woodland Wishes stamp set – a super cute Christmas set from the Online Exclusives.  Everyday Arches and the Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder bring it all home!  Take a look-see:

The layout was inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by embossing a Crumb Cake panel in the Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder.  Note: I embossed a larger-than-I-needed panel and then cut it down to the 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ that I needed.  I did that cuz these 3D Embossing folders can stretch the paper fibers and make the cardstock a little wonky.  So…cut those straight edges AFTER embossing! 😉

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the embossed panel to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock.

I wrapped a length of Mossy Meadow & Very Vanilla 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon around the panel – securing it in the back with Mini Glue Dots.

On a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the large Woodland Wishes image in Early Espresso ink.  Using Watercolor Pencils, I colored the images.

Top bird – Cherry Cobbler

Owl – Basic Gray and White

Fox – Cajun Craze and White

Deer – Pecan Pie

Flying Birds – White

Bear – Early Espresso

Squirrel – Basic Gray and White

Bunny – White

Gift – Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive

Leaves – Old Olive

Pinecone – Pecan Pie

Ornaments – Blue or Blue and White

I used the third-from-largest Everyday Arches die to cut out the image.  Using the next largest die (second-from-largest) – I cut out a Mossy Meadow mat.

I adhered the Crumb Cake arch on the Mossy Meadow arch with Liquid Glue, then adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock, I stamped a Woodland Wishes sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with white Basics WOW Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.

I used the smallest Perennial Postage die to cut out the sentiment and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

Finally – I added three Golden Glow stars from the Christmas Epoxy Shapes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Woodland Wishes sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake panel.  Next to it I stamped a bird from the set in Early Espresso – and colored him with the Cherry Cobbler Watercolor Pencil.  Then I added another Golden Glow star.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a Woodland Wishes bear – stamped in Early Espresso and colored with the Early Espresso and Pecan Pie Watercolor Pencils – on the front…

…and a little bird stamped in Early Espresso  – and colored with the Cherry Cobbler Watercolor Pencil – on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This Woodland Wishes pyramid of woodland animals is so cute!  And it’s backed up with pretty sentiments and individual images for decorating the inside – and your envelope! I love it! I felt like the wunnermus Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing was the perfect accompaniment!
