Stampin’ UP! Mosaic Tile Perennial Garden Birthday Card

Happy Happy Hawmp Day, y’all!  We’re up here in North GA – getting ready to enjoy the last full day of crafting and eating and chatting!!  Hope YOUR week is going as awesomely as ours is! 😎

Today’s card is all about color and shapes.  And flowers!  The Tile Garden stamp set, paired with the coordinating Mosaic Garden DSP brings the first.  And the Perennial Postage dies bring the second to a quick and pretty Birthday Card.  Take a look-see:

I started by adhering a 4 1/8″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Mosaic Garden DSP on a 4 1/4″ x 4 5/8″ piece of Old Olive cardstock using Liquid Glue.

Using the second-from-largest rectangle die in the Perennial Postage set, I cut out a piece of Old Olive paper from the Mosaic Garden DSP.

I used my Paper Trimmer to cut the die cut rectangle in half and then used Liquid Glue to adhere the two pieces to the card front – seprating them by about 1/4″ – thus making my rectangle “longer”.

I wrapped a length of Hydrangea Hue 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon around the card front – covering the gap between the two pieces – and adhered it in the back with Mini Glue Dots.  Note – I also used a Glue Dot under the ribbon on the front to keep it in place.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the card front to the front of my Basic White card base.

Next, I cut out a Basic White square using the larger square Perennial Postage die. On it, using the stamps in the Tile Garden set, I stamped a couple of Old Olive stems, a Golden Glow flower and a couple of Hydrangea Hue flowers.

Then I adhered the square over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the larger Hydrangea Hue Tile Garden flower and cut it out with my Detail Scissors.  I adhered it over the stamped flower on the white square with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

On a 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Tile Garden sentiment in Hydrangea Hue ink.  With my Detail Scisssors I cut a banner in the right end and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Old Olive Glossy Garden Dots to the card front and a small Crisp Cantaloupe dot to each flower center and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Tile Garden sentiment in Hydrangea Hue on a Basic White panel.  Across the bottom, I stamped Tile Garden stems in Old Olive and flowers in Golden Glow and Hydrangea Hue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic White card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got some Tile Garden flowers on the front…

…and more of the Mosaic Garden DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well, the more I used the Mosaic Garden DSP the more I love it!  The colors and designs are just to pretty and vibrant!  The sentiments and flower images in the Tile Garden set are worthy of the paper and make for beautiful and versatile cards! Of course, the Perennial Postage die set remains a …wait for it…”perennial” fave! 😉
