Good morning from North GA! Yes – the first session of our 2026 Krew Retreat is underway! We all rolled in yesterday and set up our craft stations. Passed out little gifties and got caught up! And…started making cards! Watch for peeks in the near future!
In the meantime, check out the fun and easy fun fold card I made for you today! It’s got some Whispering Woods DSP – SO pretty! – a couple of pine trees and a bough from the Winter Adventures bundle and…sentiments from Fern & Flora! Yes. Yes I DID pick and choose from all over my craft room! Take a look-see:
I saw this fun fold on Sue Campfield’s blog and thought it was really cute. So…. 🙂
I started with a 5 1/2″ x 7 1/2″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock that I scored at 4 1/4″ and folded – putting the fold on the RIGHT (versus the usual left).
I cut a SECOND piece – this one is 3 1/2″ x 4 1/8″. I scored that at 1/2″ on the short (3 1/2″) side. I folded it and then, using Liquid Glue, adhered it to the left edge of the back of the card base.
On a 3 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Fern & Flora sentiment in Night of Navy ink. In the corner, I stamped the pine bough from the Winter Adventures set in Pretty Peacock ink.
With the Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend I colored the pinecones – then I adhered the panel to the inside of the large card. Tip: when you make this one, adhere this panel with “normal” reveals on the top, bottom and right sides.
I matted a 5/8″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the Whispering Woods DSP on a Night of Navy mat and then used Liquid Glue to adhere it over the little “seam” – centering it in the open space.
I matted a 3″ x 5 1/4″ piece of the tree-strewn Whispering Woods DSP on Night of Navy and adhered it to the front panel of the large card.
I also added another 3 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Whispering Woods DSP on the inside panel of the card base.
In the bottom corner of a 2 7/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of the DSP – cut to “frame” some trees – I stamped another Fern & Flora sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink.
I cut out a couple of little trees from Pretty Peacock cardstock using the dies in the Winter Wonderlands set and adhered them to the panel with Liquid Glue.
Using a Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend, I added “snow drifts” to the base of each die cut tree – and the bottom of the stamped trees on the DSP.
I matted the panel on Night of Navy and adhered it to the front of the small front panel.
I matted another panel of the DSP (centered on an elk) on Night of Navy cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the small front panel.
I added a few Pretty Peacock dots from the Array of Dots pack to the front – and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Winter Adventures pine bough on the front…
…and more of the Whispering Woods DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Super easy fun fold. Beautiful paper from the Whispering Woods DSP. Sweet trees from Winter Adventures and perfect sentiments from Fern & Flora! That all adds up to a wonderful thank you card that you need to make!!
