Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! Hope your week is going well – I know a TON of you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Big Brown Truck with all your new and amazing goodies! We had SOOO MUCH go live yesterday – is there anything like shiny, new crafty toys to play with?! I can’t wait for you to get yer mitts on all the goodies!
SOME of you snagged the products from the awesome new Painted Patch Suite! I used just a smidge of that set – the Painted Pumpkins bundle – with it’s pretty stamp set, dies and MASKS! to make a softly blended thank you card today. Take a look-see:
My friend, Becky Graham, did a card with these softly blended pumpkins and I liked it so much I shamelessly “borrowed” some ideas from her! 🙂
And – the Just Us Girls challenge was a perfect fit this week!
And the color palette is from the Sunday Stamps challenge!
I started by using the Painted Pumpkins viney-leaf mask and a small Blending Brush to add the vines to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock. I adhered the panel to a Lost Lagoon mat.
Using Stampin’ Seal in the bottom half of the panel, I added a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Vellum Specialty Paper over the card front – to soften and blur the vines.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I used a Small Blending Brush and the four remaining Painted Pumpkin masks to make pumpkins in Crumb Cake ink – I used the same color for each mask. I cut them out with the dies in the set.
Then I cleaned the masks and repeated the process using Crisp Cantaloupe ink and cut them out as well.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered five pumpkins to the card front.
I tied a little Linen Thread bow and adhered it with a dab of Liquid Glue.
Using a few dies in the Painted Pumpkins set, I cut out some Lost Lagoon leaves and tendrils. I adhered them to the pumpkins with Liquid Glue.
I stamped a Painted Pumpkins sentiment in Crumb Cake ink on a 5/8″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.
Using scissors, I snipped a banner in the right end of the strip and adhered it over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I used a few dabs of Liquid Glue up in the top of the card front – to help hold the Vellum down – and then covered them with some Crisp Cantaloupe and white 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies. I added some more down around the pumpkins – cuz they’re cute!! – and the card front was done.
On the inside, I used the Painted Pumpkins masks to add a Crisp Cantaloupe pumpkin in the corner of a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Crisp Cantaloupe card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got a Crisp Cantaloupe pumpkin on the front…
…and I used the almost-dry Blending Brush to add the vines in light Soft Sea Foam on the envelope flap. You really can hardly see them – but they’re there!
Et Voila! I love this Painted Pumpkins bundle – and it’s so pretty in these soft colors, don’t you think!? I didn’t even break into the coordinating Painted Patch DSP for this one – but it’s gorgeous, too!
I hope you like!
