Stampin’ UP! Autumn Opulence Thanks & Giving Sneak Peek Thank You Card With Video

Happy Sunday, y’all!  The bread is fixin’ to go in the oven after it’s overnight cold-proof, we’re running the vacuum and tidying up and then the pizza dough will get underway!  Whoo-hoo! Hope you’re having a good weekend, too!

Today’s card uses a technique called “stack, cut and shuffle” and it’s a super handy thing to know how to do – especially as we head into the holidays!  This one is a thank you card – and it showcases two new Online Exclusive products available on 1 Sept!  The Thanks & Giving stamp set for a pretty wreath and sentiments and the gorgeous Autumn Opulence DSP.  Take a look-see:

I was reminded to pull out the stack, cut & shuffle technique by the Try a Sketch on Tuesday challenge.

I started with three 3 3/4″ x 5″ pieces of new Autumn Opulence DSP (get this on 1 Sept) and stacked them up (aligning their edges as good as I could manage).  Using my Paper Trimmer, I cut all three at 1 7/8″ on the short side.

I set the “left” stack aside.  Then I turned the “right” stack 90 degrees and cut it at 2″ on the long side.

That gave me three pieces in each of the three designs of the DSP for a total of nine pieces.  I made three piles – putting one piece of each pattern into each stack.  This is the “shuffle” part of the stack, cut & shuffle technique!

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the three pieces to a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Golden Glow cardstock.  Then I matted it again a second time on Blackberry Bliss.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the wreath from the new Thanks & Giving stamp set (also coming in 1 Sept) three times in Early Espresso ink – and cut them all out with the next-to-largest dot-dash-edge die in the Spotlight on Nature die set.

Using Stampin’ Blends – I colored each of the wreaths.  I used the Light Cajun Craze, Light Blackberry Bliss, Light Golden Glow, Light Lost Lagoon, Light Pecan Pie and Dark Petal Pink Blends.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the three wreaths to the three card fronts.

I tied three bows – each using two lengths of Linen Thread – and adhered one to each card front with Liquid Glue.

On strips of Very Vanilla cardstock (I found that 3/4″ wide strips work pretty well!), I stamped a Thanks & Giving sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink. I cut them all out with the double-ended Three Banner Punch.

Using double-stamped Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiments over the bows.

I added five new Golden Glow Radiant Gems (these are also coming on 1 Sept – these are in the new Sept-Dec 2026 Catalog!) to each card front and they were all done!

For the insides, I stamped a second sentiment from Thanks & Giving in Blackberry Bliss ink on a Very Vanilla panel.  Across the bottom, I stamped the wheat image from the set three times in Golden Glow ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panels to the inside of three Lost Lagoon card bases, popped the card fronts on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the cards were done!

My Basic White Medium Envelopes got the Thanks & Giving wheat image a couple times on the fronts…

…and more of the Autumn Opulence DSP on the envelope flaps.

Et Voila!  Three pieces of new Autumn Opulence DSP becomes three pretty thank you cards with the help of the pretty new Thanks & Giving stamp set!  And this stack, cut and shuffle technique is a great way to get several cards in one go!  Think of it as you begin to plan your Christmas/Holiday cards!! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix

Weeeellll… we’ve got a new groomer.

I asked her to take about half of what was there off.  And leave her with a terrier face.

It’s maybe going to take a minute to get her “dialed in”.

It’ll grow back. 🤷‍♀️
