Today’s card is a fun one from the new Creative Haven bundle – with a little help from the coordinating Hobby Haven Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:
The layout is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.
And the colors were inspired by the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started by matting a 1 3/8″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Petal Pink paper from the Hobby Haven Specialty DSP on a Daffodil Delight mat and adhered it to the top of a Coastal Cabana card base – leaving a “normal” reveal around the top and sides.
Then I matted a second, 3 1/2″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Hobby Haven Specialty DSP on Daffodil Delight and adhered it to the card front – leaving a normal reveal around the bottom and the edges.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped one of the cute sentiment tag images from Creative Haven twice in Daffodil Delight and once in Coastal Cabana ink.
I cut out one of the Daffodil Delight images and the Coastal Cabana image with the coordinating die in the Creative Haven set. I used the tag die – with one of the “ribbon slot” dies in place at the same time.
From the second Daffodil Delight image – I used scissors to fussy cut “golden” from the image.
I used a little Liquid Glue to adhere the Coastal Cabana tag to the Daffodil Delight tag – letting just a little of the yellow tag peek out.
I adhered the fussy cut “Golden” to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I ran a short length of Petal Pink 5/16″ Braided Trim thru the ribbon slots and frayed the ends. Around it, I wrapped a double length of white Baker’s Twine and tied a simple bow.
With Stampin’ Dimensionals near the center of the die cuts – I adhered the tags to the card front.
I used the larger leaves die in the CreativeHaven set to cut out two Basic White and two Coastal Cabana leaves. I tucked them under the top of the tags on both sides, securing them with Liquid Glue.
Then I added a few Daffodil Delight Muted Palette Dots and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Creative Haven sentiment in Coastal Cabana on a Basic White panel. Next to it, I stamped the sparkle image in Daffodil Delight. Across the bottom, I adhered a 1/2″ wide strip of the Hobby Haven Specialty DSP – making it longer than I needed and trimming the excess with my scissors.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Coastal Cabana card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Daffodil Delight Creative Haven sparkles on the front…
…and more of the Hobby Haven Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! What a fun bundle! Creative Haven has four tag-based sentiments and a couple three coordinating sentiments for you to use – plus the bundled dies will cut out all the tags you need! The Hobby Haven Specialty DSP is pretty in soft colors AND includes two sheets full of pre-printed and cut images depicting all our fave hobbies! 🙂
