Stampin’ Up! Textured Gallery Motifs Thanks for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided to let some gorgeous Beautiful Gallery 6″ x 6″ DSP carry the water (as it were) for our theme this week – and then I accented it with a Textured Notes die cut double frame.  The Beautiful Motifs bundle lent a sentiment – and…a really cool die cut floral. Take a look-see:

And here’s our theme!

I started by using one of the Beautiful Motifs dies to cut from the middle of my Beautiful Gallery 6″ x 6″ DSP.  The cool thing about this die is that it doesn’t cut the entire thing out of the paper – it cuts part of it so that you can SEE it and you can lift parts of the cut image – but it stays in the paper.

Then I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cloud Cover mat.

Using my Textured Notes dies – I cut out a Cloud Cover frame and then a second frame from Basic White cardstock.  Both of the frames used the same die for the outer cut.  Now – I cut MY frame FROM the same piece of Cloud Cover cardstock that would become the MAT for the card front.  That made the background that you can sorta see behind the raised leaves – dark (cuz…there’s a hole there!).

I adhered the Basic White frame to the card front using Liquid Glue – and carefully picking up the pieces of the DSP that had been cut – to allow them to “spill” over the frame.  Note:  you MAY need to do a little smidge of snipping with your Paper Snips if you find a leaf that’s not quite “spilling” the way you want it to!  I had to do that on that top leaf. 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the Cloud Cover frame into position.

Using Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, I popped up as many of the little die cut leaves as I could.  Note: on the larger of the leaves, I used a double-stack of the Dimensionals.Stampin' Up! Textured Gallery Motifs Thanks for the Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop - Stamps-N-Lingers

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Beautiful Motifs sentiment in Secret Sea ink and then cut it out with a Textured Notes die.

I adhered the sentiment to the card front using the Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – tucking it under some of the leaves.

I added some new Pressed Flower Motif embellishments – and the card front was done!

For the inside, I used the largest Textured Notes die to cut out a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped a Gallery Blooms flower twice in Secret Sea ink – without re-inking between stamps.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Secret Sea card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Gallery Blooms floral stamped twice (without re-inking) in Secret Sea ink on the front…

…and more Beautiful Gallery 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wow – the Beautiful Gallery 6″ x 6″ DSP is simply stunning – every design is more beautiful than the last!  I really love it – and the two bundles that coordinate with it – the Beautiful Motifs and the Gallery Blooms bundles.  But – I ALSO love the Textured Notes rectangle dies so…I pulled them out here and really like the results, don’t you?!
