Stampin’ Up! Spring Corners Mixed Florals Sneak Peek Thank You Card with Video

Happy Sunday, y’all!  Hope your weekend is going well!  We did some running around yesterday – I was happy that there weren’t QUITE as many folks out and about as I’d been afraid there might be! We also stopped and picked up a Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks.  Is it just me – or…are they never HOT enough!?  Mine tasted good but…it was more lukewarm than hot.  I drink it too fast when it’s not hot and that just annoys me.  I want 350 calories and $6 to TAKE a minute to drink!  🤷‍♀️

My card today combines two NEW Online Exclusives – which you’re going to be able to pick up on 7 Jan (which is RIGHT around the corner!).  I pulled out the new Spring Corners and Mixed Florals bundles and used them to create a subdued and gorgeous thank you card!  Take a look-see:

I started by stamping the corner thank you sentiment from Spring Corners twice in Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake card front.  Tip:  I scored the card base – but didn’t fold it – that’ll come a few steps down the road.

Using two of the corner dies in the bundled Spring Corners die set – I cut the leaves and flower from the opposite corners.  This is a fun die – it cuts the leaves all the way out – but only partially cuts the flower.  I folded the card base at this point – and burnished the fold – then I poked the flower petals UP to add some cool depth.

On another piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the large Mixed Florals image in Early Espresso ink.

I colored the entire image with the White Watercolor Pencil.  Then – over the white – I colored the tulips using the Fresh Freesia Watercolor Pencil, the small flowers with the Daffodil Delight pencil and the leaves with the Old Olive pencil.

I cut out the image using the die in the bundled Mixed Florals Die set.

I wrapped Linen Thread around the image – three times – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Spring Corners sentiment in Early Espresso ink on a strip of Crumb Cake cardstock and then adhered it over the Linen Thread with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used two lengths of Linen Thread to tie a bow around the Linen Thread, near the sentiment.

I stamped the little flying ladybug from Mixed Florals three times in Early Espresso ink and colored them with the Real Red Watercolor Pencil and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the line-drawn Spring Corners image in Early Espresso in two corners of a Crumb Cake panel.  Near the bottom corner, I stamped a Mixed Floral spray of flowers – which I colored with the White and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils. Then I added the Mixed Floral flying ladybug in Early Espresso ink, colored with the Real Red Watercolor Pencil.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Crumb Cake card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Spring Corners line drawn image and Mixed Florals flowers and ladybug on the front…

…and the leaves image from Mixed Florals – stamped in Early Espresso and colored with the Old Olive Watercolor Pencil – and a lady bug!! – on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh my goodness – I’m already LOVING these two new Online Exclusives!  The Mixed Florals bundle –  with its gorgeous, BIG bouquet of flowers and adorable little ladybugs! –  is just stunning.  And – needing a sentiment – it pairs beautifully with the new Spring Corners bundle!  I’ve long been a fan of turn-the-corner sentiments and these are WONDERFUL – with the added bonus of some “regular” sentiments to go along with!

  1. I love everything is in the kit and I can pick up the box and take the kit and go to my crafting day. I like to take a kit with me to a day of crafting put on by one of the local hospitals by their nurses to generate funds for projects the nurses fund during the year.
