Stampin’ Up! Delightful Wishes Floral & Gingham Sneak Peek Birthday Card

Happy Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  The NEXT time I wish you a Happy HAWWMP day will be CHRISTMAS!!  It’s getting pretty real, y’all!  I distrubuted all but ONE cookie plate today so…I’m about done!  Next cookie delivery will be on the Day itself!!

So – today’s card is a bit of a CASE from the new catalog that features a sneak peek at a gorgeous bundle that you’ll be able to get on 7 Jan when the Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog goes live.  It’s the Delightful Wishes bundle and I paired it with a SECOND designer paper in the Suite – the Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty DSP.  Take a look-see:

I selected some elements from the Festive Friday Inspo List Challenge. I used Pink, Silver, Blue and Shimmery Jewels!

https://festivefridaychallenge.com/festive-friday-card-making-and-paper-crafting-challenge-ff0174/

I started by adhering two pieces of the beautiful new Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty DSP to a Basic White panel using Stampin’ Seal.  Then I matted the panel on Pecan Pie cardstock to create the card front.

Using the die in the Delightful Wishes die set, I cut out a Pecan Pie cardstock branch, which I adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the Delightful Wishes stamp set, I stamped the detailed multi-bloom image in Pretty in Pink ink on a piece of Basic White.  I also stamped some leaves in Granny Apple Green and Garden Green.  I used the coordinating dies in the bundled die set to cut out the flowers and leaves.

I used a combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals (some leaves and all the flowers) and Liquid Glue (some of the leaves) to adhere the leaves and flowers to the branch.

I used the shadow-sentiment die to cut out a Brushed Silver Foil Specialty Paper shadow.  Then I put some Adhesive Sheets on the back of a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock.  Then I cut out the detailed sentiment using the second sentiment die in the set.

I used the Adhesive Sheets to adhere the detailed die cut to the shadow – and used little pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the shadowed sentiment to the card front.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped a Delightful Wishes sentiment in Pretty in Pink ink and cut it out with the label die from the bundled die set.  I slipped it under the die sentiment and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I added some clear Drusy Adhesive-backed Embellishments and the card front was done.

On the inside, I inked part of a second Delightful Wishes sentiment (just “happy birthday”) in Pretty in Pink ink and stamped it on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the detailed multi-flower image from the set in Pretty in Pink ink.  Then I stamped the fill-image (step 2) in stamped-off-once Pretty in Pink ink.  THEN I stamped the branch in Pecan Pie ink.  Finally, I added the multi-leaf image in Granny Apple Green ink.  Tip: do the four stamped images in that order – it’ll make it a TON easier to get all the things where they belong! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pecan Pie mat and into the Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Delightful Wishes flowery branch on the front…

…and more of the Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty DSP on the envelope flap (I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere it, instead of Liquid Glue, so that it won’t show!).

Et Voila!  Oh my – aren’t the Delightful Wishes flowers gorgeous in pink?!  They look like cherry blossoms to me!  And I really like the die cut branch and leaves – AND the sentiment!  Soooo pretty!  The Floral & Gingham Vellum Specialty DSP is…simply stunning!  AND – the dies in the bundle actually cut out several of the branch/flower images in the Vellum!  BOOM!

WOW, that plant is really showing off!! I thought I had a Christmas cactus but it turned out to be an Easter cactus. It was beautiful as well, with white with a touch of pink blooms. They are so interesting plants.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all, including Finn from our cat, Cody!

I saw an article somewhere that shows the difference – the shape of the leaves, I think…Either way – when they bloom they are simply amazing! Merry Christmas to you and our family and CODY!! 🙂
