Stampin’ Up! CAS Sentimental Christmas Wishes Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I wanted to make a quick and easy Christmas card that y’all could put in your make-this-to-send-this-year stack and…the Sentimental Wishes bundle – with beautiful Sentimental Christmas DSP was just the ticket!  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our sketch!

This is another quick one, y’all, so…. 🙂

I started by adhering a piece of the Sentimental Christmas DSP on a Poppy Parade mat using Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Sentimental Wishes sentiment in Poppy Parade ink.  Using the next-to-largest square Stylish Shapes die, I cut out the sentiment.  Note: I cheated the sentiment a SMIDGE to the right side of the die cut square.

I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the stocking image from Sentimental Wishes in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored it with Stampin’ Blends and a Stampin’ Write Marker:

– Stocking – Poppy Parade Blends

– Presents and Ribbons – Pretty Peacock, Dark Lost Lagoon, Shaded Spruce and Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends

– Pine sprigs – Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker

I adhered the stocking to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the die in the Sentimental Wishes die set, I cut out two Pretty Peacock sprigs which I adhered with a little Liquid Glue.

I tied a simple bow from the new Lost Lagoon Soft Cording and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I added some of the gorgeous Drusy Adhesive-backed Embellishments and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Christmas Wishes sentiment in Poppy Parade on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the little bow in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it with Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends.  I added another Drusy embellishment cuz they’re too pretty NOT to add!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Pretty Peacock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Christmas Wishes bow on the front…

…and more Sentimental Christmas DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Once again – the Sentimental Wishes bundle and coordinating Sentimental Christmas DSP comes thru for an old-fashion-y Christmas card that you’ll love to send and your recipient will love to receive!  If you don’t have these goodies, fix that quick as you can! 🙂
