Stampin’ Up! Otterly Amazing Sneak Peak Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

While I was on my trip – I got a BIG box of goodies from Stampin’ UP!  Inside was my Demonstrator Pre-Order of a bunch of NEW Online Exclusive products – all available to demonstrators right now (including brand NEW demos who can even put them in their STARTER KIT – hint hint)!  Customers can get them on 5 November!  The one I was MOST excited to play with was the Otterly Adorable DSP and coordinating Otterly Amazing bundle.  So…I did!  Take a look-see:

I also pulled some elements from the current Tic-Tac-Toe challenge! I went down the middle and across the bottom! 🙂

I started by stamping the little bubbles image from the Otterly Amazing stamp set in Balmy Blue ink all over a Balmy Blue cardstock panel.  Then I embossed the panel in the So Swirly Embossing Folder and matted it on Calypso Coral with Liquid Glue.

I used the largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a grasses-covered piece of the Otterly Adorable DSP and then adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Otterly Amazing sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Balmy Blue piece of Otterly Adorable DSP and cut it out with the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle die.  I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

There are three grasses dies in the bundled Otterly Amazing die set and I used all of them to cut out a total of 8 grasses – four in each color.

I also used the log die to cut out a Pecan Pie log and the three rock dies to cut out three rocks from Gray Granite paper from the Otterly Adorable DSP.

And – drum roll, please!! – I cut out one of the otters right from the DSP.  I LOVE when SU makes dies cut out fun images from DSP, don’t you?!?

I adhered the larger grasses (I only used two Pretty Peacock and one Garden Green – saved that last Garden Green die cut for later!) to the card front with Liquid Glue.  The die cut otter is adhered with a little Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I layered on the log, rocks and small grasses – using both Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I wanted a little pop of color so….I used a die from the set – that cuts out a whole SCHOOL of little fish – to cut out a small school from Calypso Coral cardstock.  Then I used little dabs of Liquid Glue to adhere them above the sentiment.

Finally – I added some of the new – and gorgeous! – Riverside Irregular Pearls (get these on 5 Nov, too, as part of the Otterly Adorable Suite!) – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I turned this into a thank you card by stamping a sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set (available now in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog) in Pretty Peacock ink on a Basic White panel.  Over it, I stamped the fish-school from Otterly Amazing in Calypso Coral and added the bubbles in Balmy Blue ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside the Balmy Blue card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the school of fish and the bubbles on the front…

…and more of the Otterly Adorable DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I’ve got a friend who LOVES otters – and it’s pretty obvious why!  They’re adorable!  One might even say….wait for it….OTTERLY Adorable! 😎 The Otterly Amazing bundle – which cuts out three different images from the Otterly Adorable DSP (I LOVE that!) is the perfect complement to the DSP – with sweet sentiments and darling images!  You’ll be able to get the whole SUITE on 5 November – YAY!  (Or – you know…right NOW in a new Starter Kit!).  The Simply Said stamp set is perfect – and one you really ought to have on your shelf! – and you can get IT right this minute!
