Stampin’ Up! Masculine Seaside Turtle Wishes Made My Day Card for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is For the Men/Boys!  Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

My card for the hop uses the gorgeous Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder bundle and – cuz it just worked! – the So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder – with a little help from the Reversibles Sea Turtle set – to make a thank you card fit for any of the men in your life.  Take a look-see!

I started by stamping the pebbled ground image from the Sea Turtle stamp set in Basic Beige ink all over a Basic Beige panel.

Next, I stamped the starfish from Sea Turtle in Cajun Craze (larger) and Calypso Coral (smaller) all around – making a sort of line down the left side – and then one off to the right side.

Then I embossed the panel in the new So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder.

I placed another piece of Basic Beige cardstock inside the new Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Folder – and added the three-sand-dollar die inside.  Then I closed the folder and ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine using the gray Specialty Plate (the 3D Embossing folder sandwich) – which cut AND embossed the three sand dollars at the same time!

I stamped the Seaside Wishes starfish in Crushed Curry three times on Basic Beige and cut them out with the coordinating die in the Seaside Wishes set.

I adhered the two smaller sand dollars with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added two of the die cut starfish with Liquid Glue – then added the final (largest) sand dollar with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final starfish is adhered with Liquid Glue.

On a strip of Basic Beige – I stamped the Seaside Wishes sentiment in Cajun Craze.  I snipped banner ends, adhered the strip with Dimensionals and…the card front was done!

On the inside, I created another underwater scene with Basic Beige sand from the Sea Turtle set and more Cajun Craze and Calypso Coral starfish from Sea Turtle.  The sentiment is from Seaside Wishes and is stamped in Cajun Craze.  Then I finished it off with a final Seaside Wishes star fish in Crushed Curry.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside the Basic Beige card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sea Turtle sand and starfish on the front…

….and more on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Man – Seaside Wishes is one of my very favorite new bundles and it works hand in “arm” with the cool reversible Sea Turtle set (that carried over from the mini catalog!).  And – doesn’t the So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder make you think of the eddies of a tide pool on this card?
