Stampin’ Up! Magnolia Mood Country Woods Birthday Side Step for Creative Creases #81

Good morning!  Well – today’s the day! Planning is done – it’s time to Execute Execute Execute! Well – assuming the Lyft driver can find the place!!  LOL

I kid.  Of COURSE he can find us!

Right?! 😳

My card today is a fun one – a faux side-step fun fold card and it’s sporting some beautiful Magnolia Mood (from the Online Exclusives) die cuts – and NEW Country Woods DSP (coming soon in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog!).  Take a look-see:

You’ll see this card – along with the other Design Team members’ cards –  at this week’s Creative Creases Challenge! We’re all about the Fun Folds and I hope you’ll come and join us!

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock that, using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool, I scored along the long side at 3″, 6″ and 7″.  I folded the scored lines as a mountain (3″), valley (6″) and mountain (7″).  This is the main card base.

I cut a piece of weathered-wood paper from the new – and SUPER wunnermus! –  Country Woods DSP…

…and matted it on Peach Pie cardstock.  Then I adhered that to the front of the main card base with Liquid Glue.

I did the same with a second narrow piece of the Country Woods DSP – which I then adhered to the narrow panel on the front of the card base.

Then I scored a 3″ x 6″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock at 4 1/4″ – and folded it as a mountain.  That’s the side-step panel.

There’s some gorgeous Misty Moonlight woodgrain paper in the DSP pack and I used that for the front of the side-step panel.  I matted it on Peach Pie cardstock and then adhered it to the front panel with Liquid Glue.

I used the big detailed die in the Magnolia Mood die set to cut out a Basic White floral.  I adhered it to the front of the side step using lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals – cut into smaller pieces, of course!

I used Liquid Glue on the bottom 1″ of the side-step panel and adhered it to the narrow bottom strip – aligning the bottoms.

Then I closed the card base and used more Liquid Glue to adhere the smaller portion of the panel to the back of the main card base – thus creating the side-step panel.

I used some Stampin’ Seal to adhere a loop-d-loop of Petal Pink ribbon from the new Petal Pink & White 1/4″ Diagonal Trim pack (coming in the new catalog on 1 May!) to the front of the side-step panel.

On another piece of that same gray-ish weathered-wood DSP, I stamped the Magnolia Mood sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink.

I used the largest banner die in the Stylish Shapes die set to cut out the sentiment – and then adhered it over the ribbon with stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Note: it took double-stacked dimensionals on the left end and THREE-stacked on the right! 😳

I added a few Petal Pink Foiled Gems – and the front of the card was complete!

For the back, I stamped a smaller Magnolia Mood flower image in Misty Moonlight ink in the corner of a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Peach Pie mat and then to the back of the card base.  And – the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Misty Moonlight flower on the front…

…and more of the gray Country Woods DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love how easy – and yet how awesome! – this fun fold really is!  And – decorated in Country Woods DSP and that stunning white Magnolia Mood die cut?  Oh yes!! You make THIS card and it’s going to be a HUGE hit!
