Stampin’ Up! Perennial Framed Encircled in Nature Sneak Peek with Video

Good Sunday to y’all!  Hope your weekend is going well.  We’re back to a little-bit-chilly, so…my Christmas cactii – yeah, I’ve got three now – had to come back inside last night.  They’re not happy about it, particularly, but…since I have the opposable thumbs, they’re just going to have to trust that I know best!  They can go back out to bask in the sunshine when it warms back up a bit!

Now – today’s card – is one that would work swimmingly as a masculine card (not ONLY as such, but…would sure be a good one!) and is another Sneak Peek of the Encircled in Nature bundle – available as an Online Exclusive on 5 March!  Some Perennial Lavender DSP and a couple of Stylish Shapes die cut frames are the finishing touch.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge this week.

I started with some Pretty Peacock paper from the Perennial Lavender DSP that I matted on Pecan Pie cardstock for the card front.

Using some Stampin’ Seal +, I adhered a length of Pecan Pie 1/2″ Bordered Ribbon.

Next I made a couple of frames using the Stylish Shapes die cuts.  I cut a Basic White frame using the Largest and Second-from-Largest square dies and a Pecan Pie frame using the Largest and Next-to-Largest square dies.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the white frame to a square of plaid Perennial Lavender DSP.  Then, also with Liquid Glue, I adhered the Pecan Pie frame.

I popped the framed square over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Encircled in Nature sentiment in Pretty Peacock.  Then I cut it out with the Next-to-Smallest Stylish Shapes square die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the tree die (my FAVE!) from the Encircled in Nature dies, I cut a Lost Lagoon and a Pretty Peacock tree.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere them together – to create one element and to provide some likely spots to put Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using small pieces of Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the trees to the card front.

I added a yellow star from the Adhesive-backed Lightning & Stars and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the single tree image from Encircled in Nature twice in Pretty Peacock and once in Lost Lagoon on a Basic White panel.  I added a yellow star, too! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pecan Pie mat and into my Lost Lagoon card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Encircled in Nature trees in Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock on the front…

…and more of the Perennial Lavender DSP on the envelope flap.

And the Perennial Lavender DSP is so pretty – with so many designs for all your projects.  I hope you’ve got plenty of it on hand!

Finn Fan Fix

.

The other day, when I went into the hay stall to get the hay to fill Cady’s net, I noticed my sorta-goofy dog perched on the hill.

Can you see what he’s doing?

Yes – he’s just holding the dog.

Did I mention….a little bit goofy?!?
