Stampin’ Up! Everyday Planted Paradise Sneak Peek Thanks with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday!  We’re headed into the last weekend of 2023 – do you have big New Year’s plans?  We’re headed down to visit Matt and Katelyn tomorrow – and take them their Christmas gifts.  I’ve got a few frozen meals for them to put in their instant pot – I hope that it’ll help them when the newest tiny human arrives.  Which could be any day now!  🎉🎉🎉

Which reminds me to remind YOU – that there will NOT be a YouTube video tomorrow evening – I’m just not sure what time we’ll get back!  And – obvs – we won’t be having a Zoom the Craftroom on 1 Jan!  So…next time you’ll “see” me is next Thursday for our After Lunch Bunch Video!

And – that’s a great segue into today’s card, as it’s the one we did on yesterday’s After Lunch Bunch.  It features THREE new products – all of which will be available on 4 Jan!  The focal point is from the Planted Paradise stamp set, with the Everyday Details and Mini Alphabet Die sets!  And – it all starts with a little of the gorgeous Poetic Expressions DSP.  Take a look-see:

I started by using the largest rectangle die in the new Everyday Details die set…

…to cut the center from a full panel of stunning new Poetic Expressions DSP.

That paper is SO gorgeous and the color combinations are wunnermus!

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the vase image from Planted Paradise in Moody Mauve.  Then I cut it out with my Paper Snips.

I laid a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Basic White cardstock on the front of my Mossy Meadow card base. Then I set my DSP “frame” in place.

I placed my fussy cut vase in place on the white panel and, using a pencil, drew a light line on the white panel to delineate where the top of the vase would be.  I did that so I could remove the vase, but still have all my stamped foliage be “inside” it when I put it back.

I set the vase aside and, using the stamps in the Planted Paradise set, stamped a whole bevy of succulents.

– I stamped the three-leaf plant twice in Mossy Meadow.

– I cleaned the stamp and turned it over on the block.  These are “reversibles” stamps so you can use both sides of the stamp to get a completely different look!  With this one, I stamped a few times in stamped-off-once Wild Wheat ink.

– I stamped the short stalk a couple times in Wild Wheat.

– I cleaned the stamp, turned it over and then stamped several times in stamped-off-once Wild Wheat.

– Using the detailed side of the stamp, I stamped the narrow leaf a few times in Lost Lagoon – some in full-strength and some in stamped-off-once ink.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the DSP frame to the front of the card base.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals near the middle of the fussy cut vase and adhered it in place on the card front.

I stamped two Mossy Meadow three-leaf images and three Lost Lagoon thin leaves on Basic White and cut them out with my Paper Snips.

Using Liquid Glue, I tucked the leaves “into” the vase.

Using two lengths of Linen Thread, I tied a simple bow and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I cut out the Mini Alphabet die letters from Basic White cardstock. Tip – you can use a strip of cardstock about 1 1/4″ wide and just cut out single rows of letters from the one large, single die.  Yes, you’ll have some leftovers, but…that’s not necessarily a bad thing, right?! 😎

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the letters across the bottom of the card front.

Finally, I added some cool new Adhesive-backed Cork Rounds and the card front was done!  Y’all – you are going to WANT these little cork gems first thing next week – they’re awesome!

On the inside, I stamped the Planted Paradise vase in Moody Mauve in the corner of a Basic White panel.  Then I added my succulents like I’d done on the front.  Tip: you can “plant” as much or as little as you like!  I’m the person that, if the directions say “plant 6 bulbs” – I plant 10.  More is better!  But – you do you!  That’s the beauty of card making!  I added another of the Adhesive-backed Cork Rounds, too.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Moody Mauve mat and into the Mossy Meadow card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Planted Paradise on the front…

…and more Poetic Expressions DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Have you tried any of the Reversibles stamp sets yet?  They’re kind of fun – we had pinecones last time round.  I really like this Planted Paradise set – there are so many foliage options in it – even BEFORE you get to the second side of the stamps!  Think of all the bouquets of pretty succulents you’ll be able to create!  Poetic Expressions is some of the prettiest DSP I’ve seen – the colors are amazing together.  And – the Everyday Essentials and Mini Alphabet dies are destined to be staples in my tool box – and I think they will be for you, too!

Finn Fan Fix

Eating horse poop would be disgusting, Mom.  AND – you’ve told me not to do it, anyway.

So….

WHO in the world would do SUCH a GROSS thing?!?

Certainly not I!
