Stampin’ Up! Abundant Pick of the Patch for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a very timely theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I pulled out the new Pick of the Patch bundle – yes, the new catalog is LIVE for you now! – and the amazingly pretty Abundant Beauty Masks to make a so-pretty Autumn card for you today.  Take a look-see:

And – here’s our theme!

I borrowed the layout from the Saturday Sketch challenge this week.

I started by adhering a piece of Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP on a Cajun Craze mat to make the card front.

I temporarily secured a smaller Very Vanilla panel to my work surface and then placed the leaves mask from the Abundant Beauty Masks over the top. I used some sticky tape to secure the mask to make sure it wouldn’t wiggle around.

Using Small Blending Brushes, I added Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry ink to the panel.  Tip: be sure to start blending OFF the panel – or you’ll get yucky blobs. No one likes yucky blobs on their cards!!

I matted the panel on Cajun Craze and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Seal.

Using the Bough Punch, I cut out two large boughs from Mossy Meadow and three small boughs from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere them – and a couple of Textural Elements – to the card front.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped two larger pumpkins – one in Pumpkin Pie and one in Crushed Curry.  I also stamped a smaller pumpkin in Cajun Craze and three Early Espresso stems.  I used the bundled Pick of the Patch Builder Punch to cut it all out!

I added some little dots (there’s a stamp for that!) to the pumpkins – in the same color that they were stamped.

I angled the Crushed Curry pumpkin a little – and stamped a Pick of the Patch sentiment in Early Espresso ink.

I added some double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals…

…and used them to adhere the Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze pumpkins.

I added the sentiment pumpkin with a double-stacked Dimensional and some Liquid Glue.

I added some Brushed Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla panel.  Over the top, I stamped the pumpkin in Crushed Curry and added a few of the dots.  I also added an Early Espresso stem.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the pumpkin in Pumpkin Pie on the front…

…and more of the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  You can almost hear the creak of the hayride thru the pumpkin patch, can’t you?  And this card really IS the Pick of the Patch!  I am not always a huge fan of masks but…WOW!  I love love love the Abundant Beauty Masks – and know that you will, too!
