Stampin’ Up! Brushed Bouquet Happy Labels for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a pretty color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

We’ve got a cool new Online Exclusive product called Elegant Borders dies – and I’ve been plotting a card in my head since I got it!  So – today’s the day.  I used it along with the Brushed Bouquet and Happy Labels bundles – plus some pretty Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our color challenge!

I started by embossing a Basic White panel in the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder and then I adhered it to a Coastal Cabana mat with Liquid Glue.

Next up, I ran a piece of Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with a new Elegant Borders die set in place diagonally on the DSP panel.

The die isn’t QUITE long enough to reach all the way from corner to corner, so I used my Paper Snips to snip the corner.  Then I adhered the remaining piece on the card front using Liquid Glue.

I used the dies from the Brushed Bouquet die set to cut two small flowers from Petal Pink cardstock plus two large leaves and one small leaf from Coastal Cabana cardstock.

I stamped the large leaf image from Brushed Bouquet three times in Coastal Cabana on a Basic White panel.  I also stamped one large and two small flowers – these are in Petal Pink (for the first stamp) and stamped-off-once Petal Pink for the second (fill) image.

Starting at the top, I began adhering leaves and small flowers using Liquid Glue.  When everything else was in place – I popped the large flower on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Happy Labels punch to punch both ends of a Basic White cardstock strip.  Then I stamped the Happy Labels sentiment in Night of Navy ink.  I adhered it to the card front with a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals and a little Liquid Glue.

I added a Petal Pink gem from the Elegant Faceted Gems to the sentiment and then added a few white gems on the card front and the card was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Happy Labels sentiment in Night of Navy on a Basic White panel.  Over the top, I stamped the large Brushed Bouquet flower in Petal Pink and stamped-off-once Petal Pink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Coastal Cabana mat and into the Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the large Brushed Bouquet flower in Petal Pink and stamped-off-once Petal Pink on the front…

…and more of the Regency Park 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well – that does it – the new Elegant Borders dies are…wunnermus!  So pretty!  And the Brushed Bouquet set makes such pretty flowers and leaves – can you see the embossing on the die cut cardstock flowers??  It needs a sentiment, though (cuz it’s an image-only set!) so the Happy Labels stamp set – with it’s cool bundled punch – is a perfect choice!  And – how cool is the Cane Weave 3D Embossing with that Regency Park DSP!? Psst – the answer you’re looking for is “TOTALLY cool, Mary!” 🙂
