Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a great – and timely! – theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
With the help of my friends on my Zoom the Craftroom the other night, I made four card fronts from the pretty Country Floral Lane DSP – using the Stack-Cut-Shuffle technique. It was a simple jump to the Country Bouquet stamp set for this week’s theme. So…I pulled out one of the card fronts I’d made and created today’s card! Take a look-see:
And – guess what our theme is??
I started with four nicely-coordinating pieces of the wunnermus Country Floral Lane DSP. I stacked them all up and made three cuts – thru all four pieces at once time.
Cut #1 – at 1 1/2″ along the short side.
Cut #2 – at 2″ on the long side of the more narrow remaining strip.
Cut #3 – at 3 1/4″ on the long side of the wider remaining strip.
I ended up with four pieces of each of the parts. Which – if you’re with me here – is…sixteen pieces! 😎
I distributed the pieces into four piles – one of each size/shape in each pile. Then I adhered them all to a Mint Macaron mat – ending up with 4 card fronts!
For today’s card – I selected one – and put the others aside for later!
On a panel of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the two-step stamped heart image from the Country Bouquet set – stamping the flowers image in Petal Pink, then the leaves image in Mint Macaron.
I embossed the panel in the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder – I love it so much! – and then adhered it to a Mint Macaron mat with Liquid Glue. I adhered the matted panel to the card front with more Liquid Glue.
Next, I stamped the Country Bouquet sentiment in Sweet Sorbet ink on a small strip of Basic White and matted it on Mint Macaron.
Then I adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I looped a length of Balmy Blue/White 1/2″ Variegated Ribbon a couple of times and tied a bow from white Baker’s Twine around the middle.
I adhered the bow with a Glue Dot.
I added a few Balmy Blue sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Country Bouquet sentiment in Sweet Sorbet on a Basic White panel, then added the sweet outline heart in Petal Pink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mint Macaron mat and into my Sweet Sorbet card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Petal Pink outline heart on the front…
…and one of the designs from the Country Floral Lane DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Have you tried the Stack, Cut and Shuffle technique? If not – give it a go! It’s a quick way to create four beautiful card fronts – and it’s hard to go wrong with ANY of our gorgeous Designer Series Papers. The Country Floral Lane DSP is just one of so many possibilities for you to choose from! And if you need a card for Valentine’s or Pal-entines or…just to send to your friend – the Country Bouquet stamp set has you covered! 🙂
I hope you like!
