Good morning and Happy Friday! We’re sitting on the cusp of the last day of 2022, believe it or don’t. Two more sleeps and you’ll be waking up in a brand New Year!! And – just five days after THAT – we’ll be welcoming a brand spanking new Catalog! Whoo-hoo!
To that end – I’ve got another quick card to tempt you! I pulled out the pretty Country Bouquet punch bundle and my current can’t-seem-to-make-a-card-without-it product – the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. With those two workhorses – and some beauteous Country Floral Lane DSP – I was ready to roll. Or…FOLD! Take a look-see:
A book-fold (aka side fold) card is one of my very favorite fun folds – and for this one I turned it up to be a TOP-fold! But – it’s still just as easy. 🙂
I started with a piece of Sweet Sorbet cardstock cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″ that I scored at 5 1/2” and 6 3/4” on the long side. I folded the 5 1/2” score line as a “valley” – so….you know, ”regular”! – and at the 6 3/4” score in the opposite direction. Topographically speaking, that would be a “mountain” fold!
Using Liquid Glue just between the 5 1/2” and 6 3/4” score lines, I adhered the front of the card base to the back – just in that 1 1/4” area. This made the “book” or “top” fold.
I adhered a strip of the Country Floral Lane DSP to a Balmy Blue mat and then to the narrow top panel using Liquid Glue.
Using the Country Bouquet punch, I cut out a Sweet Sorbet large heart – it’s actually printed on one of the Country Floral Lane DSP designs.
I stamped the large striped heart in Petal Pink on Basic White cardstock. I used the Country Bouquet Punch to punch it – and a third heart right from a piece of flower-dy Country Floral Lane DSP.
I determined where I wanted them to be on my Basic White front panel and then stamped the leaves images from the Country Bouquet set in Mossy Meadow and Balmy Blue inks.
Once the leaves were all stamped, I embossed the Basic White panel in the wunnermus Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. Then I adhered the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and onto the card front using Liquid Glue.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the three punched hearts.
I stamped the Country Bouquet sentiment in Balmy Blue on a piece of Basic White and then cut it out with the banner die from the Stylish Shapes die set.
I adhered the sentiment to the card front with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals – added some Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped the striped heart from Country Bouquet in Petal Pink on my Basic White panel. Over top I stamped a second sentiment from the set in Balmy Blue ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and into my fun fold card and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Petal Pink striped heart on the front…
…and my envelope flap got a fun Balmy Blue design from the Country Floral Lane DSP!
Et Voila! I wasn’t too sure about this Country Bouquet Bundle when I first saw it – Valentine’s Day cards aren’t high on my list. But – this bundle is great for SO much more than just Valentine’s Day – and I am really loving it now! It’s beautiful – especially with the Country Floral Lane DSP in the mix. If you look at the whole suite – there’s so much wunnermus-ness – you’re going to want it ALL! 🙂
