Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, ya’ll – and happy Thanksgiving-eve! I hope that you’re all ready for the Big Day – or…have made your list so that you WILL be ready for the Big Day when said Big Day shows up tomorrow! I made my list and – with any luck! – will have it all done before we head to our friend’s house tomorrow afternoon! 🙂
My card today is another Sneak Peek from the upcoming Jan – Apr 2023 Mini Catalog and it’s from the gorgeous Fancy Flora Suite! This one features TWO bundles that are meant to work together like a hand and a glove. The Two-Tone Flora and Something Fancy bundles are wunnermus and the coordinating Fancy Flora DSP is stunning. I’ve used nearly all the suite on this card, so…take a look-see:
I started with five strips of the Fancy Flora DSP that I cut from a single sheet. When the catalog goes live on 5 Jan 23, you’ll be able to pick up this beautiful pack of paper – with its 48 – 6″ x 6″ pieces of painterly paper in wonderful colors.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the strips to Daffodil Delight mats and then onto an Orchid Oasis panel to create the card front. Tip – turn the panel on its side (so in landscape mode – and find the middle of the long side. Then adhere the center strip first – centering the strip on the center of the panel. Then add the two end strips next. Finally, fill in the middle spaces with the last two strips. 🙂
I made no effort to “keep the design” intact when I adhered the strips – I sort of deliberately did NOT! If that makes you twitch, then…just keep track of which strip goes where when you’re adhering it to the panel! 🤙🤙🤙
Next, I used one of the label dies – and a “tag top” die – from the Something Fancy die set to cut out a Basic White label.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the label to the card front.
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a length of new Pool Party 3/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon (part of the Fancy Flora suite and available on 5 Jan 23!).
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the little four-flower image from the Two-Tone Flora set. First, I stamped the “centers” image in full-strength Orchid Oasis ink. Then I added the full flower image in stamped-off-once Orchid Oasis. Tip: there’s a distinct up and down on both of these stamps. The little holes in the middle of the full-flowers line up PERFECTLY with the centers of the…centers. So…if they do NOT – then you need to turn the stamp until they do. That means NOTHING to you right now – but it WILL when you have this set in your hands! 😉
I also stamped the little leaf image twice in Evening Evergreen. I cut out the flowers and leaves with the coordinating die in the Two-Tone Flora die set.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the flowers and leaves to the white label.
There’s a cool hexagon die in the Something Fancy set so…I used it for the sentiment. I stamped the Something Fancy sentiment in Orchid Oasis on one of the Daffodil Delight designs in the Fancy Flora DSP and cut it out with that hexagon die.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment onto the card front.
I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
Finally, I added some gold and Balmy Blue gems from the new Iridescent Pastel Gems (yes – ALSO part of the Fancy Flora suite!) here and there and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Something Fancy in Orchid Oasis on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I added the sweet little flowers in Orchid Oasis (full strength centers and stamped-off-once full flowers!). I stamped the leaf image in Evening Evergreen next to the sentiment.
I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to an Orchid Oasis mat and into my Daffodil Delight card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small Two-Tone Flora flowers on the front…
…and more Fancy Flora DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I know what you’re doing right now. You’re adding the WHOLE Fancy Flora Suite to your gotta-have-it list! It’s okay – I obviously did, too! And was VERY grateful for my demonstrator discount, let me tell you! The two bundles – Two-Tone Flora (all images) and Something Fancy (all sentiments) are 100% going to be at their best when they’re working together! And the Fancy Flora DSP is beyond beautiful!
