Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a fun theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
There’s an adorable stamp set in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog called Glad We’re Friends. And it’s got a fun little dog (pretty certain it’s a Corgi!) in it that came to mind the second I saw the challenge! I put him on some Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP to make a sweet birthday card! Take a look-see:
And – can you guess our theme??
I started with a piece of Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP that I matted on Pale Papaya cardstock for the card front.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sweet Corgi and his fan from Glad We’re Friends in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I used the largest circle Stylish Shapes Die to cut it out.
I colored the Corgi with my Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends and the fan with the Smoky Slate Blends. I added some Night of Navy to the fan streamers using a Stampin’ Write Marker.
I adhered the circle to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On another piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped part of the Glad We’re Friends sentiment in Night of Navy. I did that by covering the “Happy Birthday” with a sticky note, inking the rest of the sentiment, REMOVING THE STICKY NOTE!!, and stamping.
Then I cut it out with a Stitched Rectangle Die and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I colored a Pearl Basic Jewel with the Dark Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blend, adhered it to the sentiment and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the rest of the Glad We’re Friends sentiment in Night of Navy on a Basic White panel. I used the same technique as before, just covering the other part of the sentiment. I added some sparkles (confetti??) in Night of Navy and Pale Papaya around the sentiment.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pale Papaya mat and into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got more Glad We’re Friends confetti on the front…
…and more Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! This little Corgi from Glad We’re Friends is just too stinkin’ cute and he’s joined by some uber-cute friends and sentiments, too!
And, of course, the Butterfly Kisses 6″ x 6″ DSP is fun and colorful and awesome to play with, too – be sure to getcha some soon!!
