Good morning and welcome to Day T-1! Where T is…CATALOG LAUNCH DAY!

Speaking of In Colors – my card today features a couple – Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis – in the form of the new 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP – along with one of my already-favorites…the Sending Smiles Bundle. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.
And the colors are from the Cupcake Inspiration challenge.
I started with a piece of Basic White for the card front.
My strips are a few of the new color family DSP designs in Orchid Oasis (from the 2022-2024 In Color DSP), matted on Daffodil Delight. I used Liquid Glue to mat the strips – and then to adhere them to the card front.
I cut the more solid sentiment from the Sending Die set in Daffodil Delight and the detailed one in Orchid Oasis and adhered them together with Liquid Glue.
Then I set the sentiment in place and used it as a guide for stamping the Sending Smiles sentiment in Orchid Oasis.
This is a photopolymer set, so it’s super easy to ink part of a sentiment stamp – and that’s what I did. I inked “smiles across the” in Orchid Oasis and stamped it on the left side of the “g” in the die cut sentiment.
Then I cleaned the stamp really well and inked “miles” in Orchid Oasis, then stamped it on the right side of the “g”.
Once I knew I hadn’t messed up the stamping of the sentiment (yes – it happens!) – I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat to create the card front.
I popped the die cut sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped two of the Sending Smiles flowers in Daffodil Delight and the third in Orchid Oasis. I added Mango Melody flower centers – there’s a stamp for each one in the set! Then I cut them with their matching die in the Sending Die set.
I stamped two stems/leaves in Parakeet Party and cut them with their dies.
I adhered the stems/leaves with Liquid Glue – I trimmed the ends of the stems to make them fit under the die cut sentiment AND on the card front! and then popped the flowers on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally – I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies (LOVE!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I inked part of a second sentiment stamp from Sending Smiles in Orchid Oasis and stamped it in the center of a Basic White panel. To do the flower stem, I cut a 1/4″ strip of sticky note and used that as a mask on the stem stamp. Then I inked the stamp – REMOVED THE MASK!! – and stamped the stem over the sentiment – centering the non-inked-spot over the sentiment. Then I added the flower in Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody. And…yep. Another Brushed Brass Butterfly!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Daffodil Delight mat and into my Parakeet Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sending Smiles flower on the front…
…and some of the Orchid Oasis 2022-2024 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap. Could you have guessed that THIS would be my fave new design in the sets!?? 😉
Et Voila! This is kind of an unassuming bundle – but…the Sending Smiles bundle is already VERY high on my list of faves! And I am SO happy that it was on the Demonstrator pre-order list so that I could get it and start playing with it early! And – you can have that, too! 😉

Finn Fan Fix
There are a couple of obedience training tricks that are pretty popular. One is to have a “spot” to send a dog to when it’s time for him to be quiet, relax, take a break. Generally be out of the way for whatever reason.
The second is the idea that…when teaching a new behavior, you sort of watch for when he’s fixin’ to do it (like…sit down). Just as he goes to do the “thing” – you give the command. Obviously he’s not sitting cuz you told him to – but…he will start to associate the word with the deed.
We combined these (sort of…Okay – it was totally an accident). 😉
We discovered early on that Finn really really likes the goft cart.
So – we started telling him to “get on the golf cart”. “Load up”. “Stay with the golf cart”.
Now? We always look for the golf cart when we’re sort of wondering where he is…
99 times out of 100 – that’s where he’ll be. That 100th time can be a bit of a booger! 😉
It’s a pretty handy thing – being able to send him to the cart.
The golf cart DOES sort of fall short as a “go to” spot in the house, though… 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
