Stampin’ Up! Flowers of Friendship Pansy Petals Thank You Card

Happy Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well!

I decided to pull out a sweet little stamp set from the current Annual catalog that is carrying over into the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog!  And I’m so glad it is – cuz it’s really cute!  The Flowers of Friendship stamp set combined really nicely with the Pansy Petals DSP (which is retiring soon!).  And…there’s a sneaky peek of a VERY cool new die set (that you can pick up on 3 May in the new catty).  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

I started with a striped paper from the Pansy Petals DSP – that quite handily gave me the stripe in the sketch! – that I matted on Polished Pink for the card front.

I cut a smaller Basic White panel and stamped the big floral image from Flowers of Friendship set in Basic Gray ink.

Get ready – here’s the SNEAKY PEEK!  I cut the circle out of the middle of the panel using a circle die in the new….drum roll!!…STYLISH SHAPES die set!!  With 15 dies – this is one that you need on your very FIRST ORDER from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog on 3 May!  It.  Is.  Amazeballs! 🙂

The die I used was the next-to-largest circle – which cut about a 2 1/2″ circle.  Look at the wonderful detail you’ll get with the Stylish Shapes – it “stitches” on both side of the cut! And I love that it has circles – squares – AND banners!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the “rest” of the panel to a Polished Pink mat and then to the card front.

I used my Polished Pink and Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends to color the portion of the flowers on the circle, then popped it back in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  If you’re interested – this is the Spotlight Technique! 😉

I stamped the Flowers of Friendship sentiment in Evening Evergreen on a piece of Basic White and cut it with a banner die from Stylish Shapes.

I popped the die cut sentiment over the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

All that white space was giving me the jitters, so…I popped in a couple three Polished Pink gems from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped another sentiment from Flowers of Friendship in Evening Evergreen on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped the flower in Basic Gray and colored it with my Polished Pink and Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends.  Then I added a few more of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Polished Pink mat and into my Evening Evergreen card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Flowers of Friendship flower on the front…

…and more of the Pansy Petals DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Flowers of Friendship is a simple stamp set – it DOES come bundled with the Flowers & Leaves Punch, but I didn’t need it for this card.  Note:  the stamp set AND the punch are carrying over – but…the bundled price, with its 10% savings, is NOT!  So…you’ve still got time to save a little dough.  The Pansy Petals DSP is so pretty – it’s Spring-on-paper!  And…it’s on sale while supplies last!

I hope you like!

Let me leave you with two words.  Stylish.  Shapes.  Dies.  Okay – that’s three words, but…you need to write them down.  When your catalog arrives – turn right to page 175 and give them a look-see!

Finn Fan Fix

We were a little….late getting to the garden yesterday morning.

Or…maybe the rain came early?

Either way – we did some fancy footwork and rapid construction – trust me, the Air Force Prime BEEFs got NUTHIN’ on us!

Took us about an hour – and we were relatively soaked when we got done but…

Finn was in heaven.  Got to hang out in the rain – supervise the work – lie down in the muddy grass.

I’m a boy, Mom.  A FARM boy!

And – since we had it all done before the main part of the storm arrived – there was no hail.  Thank goodness!

We’ve got Round 2 coming thru today sometime – fingers crossed for another not-so-awful event!
