Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Heart & Home You’re the Nicest with a Video Tutorial

Well – happy Friday!  Hope you’ve had a good week and have some fun plans for the weekend!

My card for you today went back to one of my favorite stamp sets – the Honeybee Home set.  I also used the coordinating Heart & Home DSP – cuz…it’s gorgeous!  And…the Hive 3D Embossing Folder to gain a little texture!  Take a look-see:

If you were able to join me yesterday for my Facebook Live video – I appreciate you spending part of your week with me.  If not, but you’d like to watch the replay on YouTube, here ’tis!

The layout for my card was borrowed from this week’s Paper Players challenge.

And the color palette is from the Sunday Stamps challenge.

I started by embossing a Misty Moonlight panel in the Hive 3D Embossing Folder and adhering it to the front of my Misty Moonlight card base with Liquid Glue.

Next, I matted a piece of the pretty Cinnamon Cider paper from Heart & Home on Early Espresso – then I used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.

I matted a strip of wood-grain paper from Heart & Home on Early Espresso and adhered it with Liquid Glue, too.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Honeybee Home floral image twice in Early Espresso.  The flowers are colored with the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then, I cut it with the largest octagonal shaped die in the Hippo & Friends Die set – and adhered it with more Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Honeybee Home sentiment in Misty Moonlight on a strip of Basic White cardstock.  Then I snipped banner ends and added some faux stitches with my Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used two lengths of Gray Granite twine from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack to tie a simple bow, which I adhered to the card front with a Glue Dot.

I used double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment strip over the top of the bow.

Finally, I added a single Bumblebee Trinket with a Glue Dot – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Honeybee Home flowers twice in Early Espresso on a Basic White cardstock panel.  Then I colored the flowers with the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into the Misty Moonlight card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Honeybee Home florals on the front…

…and more of the bee-strewn Heart & Home DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Seriously – is it any wonder that this is such a favorite set?  The Heart & Home DSP is stunning – all that wunnermus wood-grain and flowers and BEES!  And the coordinating Honeybee Home stamp set is gorgeous.  I love the Hippo & Friends die set for the amazing label dies – with the fun double stitching.  Of course, the Hive 3D Embossing Folder is a perfect choice for a little tone-on-tone texture for this card!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Pony-Vanes.

What are they zoomed in on?

Not entirely sure but you can bet your apple-bottom’d-pony dollar that it is SOMETHING terrifying.

Like….the same herd of deer they were eating peacefully with FIVE MINUTES AGO!

For some reason – once they get inside, they become deeply deeply suspicious of those deer. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Look at that sweet face!
