Stampin’ Up! Tidings & Christmas Trimmings for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I am – STILL – working on being sure I have enough Christmas cards (yes, that means I have not MAILED them!) so I pulled out my Tidings & Trimmings bundle and the coordinating Tidings of Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our color challenge!

The layout for this one is from the Sunday Stamps sketch challenge.

I started with a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock that I embossed in the pine-cone Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  This is a two-folder set – the second one has snowflakes on it.  I ran it thru twice to get the whole panel embossed – these are Mini folders!  But…it’s all good cuz the “seam” is hidden under the next element of the card!

I matted the panel on Cherry Cobbler for the card front.

The next element is a Soft Succulent piece of paper from the Tidings of Christmas DSP, matted on Cherry Cobbler and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I cut another design from the DSP pack and punched the top with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch – and rounded the bottom corners with the Detailed Trio Punch.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

From yet ANOTHER design in the DSP pack, I used the Pine Tree Punch – then adhered it to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the smaller two-piece star dies in the Christmas Trimmings Die set (bundled with the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set), I cut a star from the gold paper in the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. I cut a second solid star from Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

I adhered the small detailed star die cut to the Cherry Cobbler star with Liquid Glue, then adhered the whole thing to the “outline” die cut.

I stamped the Tidings & Trimmings sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White strip, then cut a banner into the right end.

I adhered the strip to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the layered star on one end of the sentiment and then added an Evening Evergreen gem from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to the other end of the sentiment.

I cut a tiny gold star from the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper and adhered it to the top of the punched pine tree with Liquid Glue.  Then I added a Cherry Cobbler gem from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the middle of the star.

I used two lengths of white Baker’s Twine to tie a small bow, then adhered it to the top of the tag with a Glue Dot and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Tidings & Trimmings sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White panel.  In the bottom corner I stamped some leaves in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent, and berries in Cherry Cobbler.  I added a few small stars in Daffodil Delight.

I used Liquid Glue to add a small gold star from the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper, then to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into my Thick Basic White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Tidings & Trimmings leaves, berries and stars on the front…

…and more Christmas Tidings DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This is SUCH a pretty suite – with the Tidings & Trimmings stamp set and pretty bundled Christmas Trimmings Die set.  And the colors in the Tidings of Christmas DSP are simply wonderful – some of my fave color combos!! 🙂

I hope you like!
