Stampin’ Up! Holly Jolly Christmas Season for the Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I went with a Christmas theme and some pretty traditional colors!  The Holly Jolly Wishes stamp set gave me the starting point with its big sentiment.  Then I added some Christmas Pinecone die cuts and Christmas Season images.  Take a look-see:

And…here’s our sketch!

The sentiment was perfect with the Just Us Girls Word Week Challenge!

I started by adhering a piece of Heartwarming Hugs DSP on Old Olive for the card front.

Then I stamped the Holly Jolly Wishes sentiment in Early Espresso on a piece of Basic White and cut it out with a Hippo & Friends label die cut.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment to the card front.

Using the large dies in the Christmas Pinecone set, I cut an Old Olive and a Mossy Meadow die cut.  Using my Paper Snips, I cut some individual boughs from both die cuts.

I used a couple of pinecone dies to cut Early Espresso solid die cuts – one large and one small.  I cut the matching detailed pinecone dies from Cork Specialty Paper, then used Liquid Glue to adhere them together.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the snipped pine boughs on the bottom of the sentiment label.

I adhered the small pinecone with Liquid Glue, then popped the large pine cone on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels here and there around the card front finished it off!

On the inside, I stamped a second Holly Jolly Wishes sentiment in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped some Christmas Season pine boughs in Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.  In the middle, I stamped the smaller less-detailed pinecone in stamped-off-once Early Espresso.  I added the coordinating detailed image in full-strength Early Espresso – then adhered a few Red Rhinestones!

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Christmas Season pine boughs and cone on the front…

…and more Heartwarming Hugs DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love the non-traditional colors I’ve been playing with recently, but…reds and greens and browns are just so…perfect!  Christmas Season and the Christmas Pinecone die set brings a very satisfying amount of pine-y goodness to the Holly Jolly Wishes sentiments and homespun Heartwarming Hugs DSP!

I hope you like!
