Stampin’ Up! Frightfully Cute Halloween for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with – AND a new hopper – help me welcome Tara Carpenter to the hop line-up! – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I figured being that it’s practically October and I think I’ve done like…one?…two??…Halloween cards, that maybe I ought to bring another one to the table.  So…out came the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ DSP and the Frightfully Cute Bundle.  Take a look-see:

And…here’s our sketch challenge!

I also played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge!  I went from top left to bottom right.  My “free” space is…”arachnids”! 😂😂😂

I started with two designs from the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ DSP that I matted on Highland Heather – the larger is the card front.

I used a couple of Glue Dots to wrap a length of Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon around the smaller panel, then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the fun Frightful Tags die set – I cut a Black Glitter Paper spider web and adhered it with some Black Stampin Dimensionals (just on the bottom half of the web so they’re hidden).

I tied a little bow from the Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Frightfully Cute spider on his web three times in Tuxedo Black.  Then I cut it out with one of the label dies in the Frightful Tags set.  I popped the label over the ribbon and spider web with double-stacked Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Frightfully Cute sentiment in Highland Heather on Basic White and cut it with a second label die in Frightful Tags.  Then I adhered it to the label with Liquid Glue.

I cut out a Highland Heather witch’s hat using the Frightful Tags die and popped it onto the label with Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Pumpkin Pie stars from the Cute Stars Adhesive-backed Sequins here and there and that finished off the card front.

So…as I was designing this card, I thought I wanted some… more…on the front, so I fussy cut a jack o’lantern, cat and bat from a piece of Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Obviously, I changed my mind, but…I’d FUSSY CUT THREE THINGS!  So….I adhered them to the bottom of a Basic White Panel and then added a Cute Halloween sentiment in Highland Heather and some more Cute Stars Adhesive-backed Sequins.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Highland Heather mat and into my Pumpkin Pie card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a Highland Heather witch from Frightfully Cute on the front…

…and more of the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Halloween isn’t my fave of the holidays, but…the little die cuts in the Frightful Tags die set – with the matching Frightfully Cute stamp set – are just too much fun to NOT play with!  Thanks to the SU designers, I learned a few great color combinations from the Cute Halloween 6″ x 6″ DSP.  And – a spider web in Black Glitter Paper is way pretty!

I hope you like!
