Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest Sneak Peek Thanks

Good morning and happy 4th-of-July-OBSERVED!  I am hoping you had a fun – and safe! – day yesterday!  And a day-off today!

We had a great time on Saturday evening with our friends – it was lovely to be able to SEE everyone’s face and be able to breath.  And give hugs!!  🙂  Then we spent the day working in the garden on Sunday – so…a super nice weekend all the way around!

My card today is a tiny little sneak peek from the new Jul – Dec 2021 Mini Catalog!  It’s a sweet little stamp set called…Nature’s Harvest.  And I love it SO much! This set – along with the uber-wunnermus Cork 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper – will be available to y’all on 3 Aug!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!

I started off by adhering a piece of new Cork 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper (avail 3 Aug) on a Pumpkin Pie mat using Stampin’ Seal to create the card front.  This paper is SOOO stinkin’ cool! It’s thin and pliable and has wonderful, natural texture!!  Why?  Cuz it’s actual CORK!!  🤙🤙🤙

Next up, I masked off a rectangle on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Washi Tape and sticky notes.

Then I used my Blending Brushes to add Balmy Blue – near the top – Mango Melody and then, near the bottom, Pumpkin Pie inks.  I did the blocks on an angle.  Tip: when blending, be sure to start OFF the area you want to blend – so…in this case, on the sticky note mask.  That helps to avoid blotchy inking! 😉

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the gorgeous big image from the new Nature’s Harvest stamp set (avail 3 Aug) in Early Espresso ink.  I also added a pretty sentiment in Early Espresso.

I tore the edges of the panel to add to the organic look, popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals – and that was it for the card front!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment from Nature’s Harvest in Early Espresso on a Very Vanilla panel.  Over the top – in stamped-off-TWICE Early Espresso – I added the smaller floral image from Nature’s Harvest.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pumpkin Pie mat and into my Early Espresso card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the small Nature’s Harvest image in Early Espresso a few times on the front…

…and once on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wow – this is SUCH a gorgeous stamp set!  Nature’s Harvest has so many elements that I love – wildflowers and pretty sentiments in beautiful fonts!  And I already LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Cork Specialty Paper and can’t wait to play with it more!

I hope you like!

Now – y’all will be able to get it on 3 Aug when the catalog goes live – or…you could join the team and get all the new goodies right NOW!!   Yep – you can select from the new catalog to fill your Starter Kit – what would YOU pick??  And then you can purchase even more using your shiny new 20% discount!  Give me a holler – I’d love to have you on the team!

Finn Fan Fix

First off….for those of you wondering…the balloon was filled with PINK confetti so…there’s a tiny GIRL human on the way!  Whoo-hoo!!! 🙂

But that’s several months from now.  So…more important things happened on Sunday.

The most important is that my Finny – once again!  – proved himself a rockstar!

From the moment we got him – one of the rules that we’ve been pretty hardover on with him is…when that car door opens – he needs to be sitting quietly waiting to be told to hop out.  And he proved how well he’s “got it” yesterday!

We first went to Pike’s Nursery to get some plants and pond rocks.  We drove around to the yard to pick up the stone.  Wayne opened the slide – and a young man leaned in with the bag.  Finn just waited on the seat!  Never even offered to get out of the car!

He DID stare intently at the young man – and if he ACCIDENTLY licked his face…well.  These things happen!

Then we hit Lowe’s and when we got back to the car – I put him in and left his door and mine open while Wayne unloaded the cart.

My sweet and smart boy just leaned against the seat and waited.

He DID have his collar and leash on still – JIC.  But..he never even offered to move.

Now – isn’t that so nice?  Compared to dogs who are leaping out of the card before the door’s even open all the way!?

I’m so proud of him!! 🙂
