Stampin’ Up! Peachy Sweet Strawberry for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a theme challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

With the return of the Sweet Strawberry Bundle to the Online Store it was, for me, an obvious choice for today’s Theme challenge!  And – I paired it with some You’re a Peach DSP for an uber-summery feel.  Take a look-see:

Can you guess what our theme was? 😉

Didja guess right??

I borrowed a layout from the TGIF Challenge

And the color scheme from the Cupcake Inspirations color challenge.

I started with two Balmy Blue paper designs from the You’re A Peach DSP that I matted on Poppy Parade.  For the larger panel – I ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the next-to-largest Stitched With Whimsy Die in place to create the stitched detail.  Then adhered them both together with Liquid Glue to create the card front.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Sweet Strawberry image three times in Tuxedo Black, then filled them in with the fill stamp in Poppy Parade.  Then I punched them with the bundled Strawberry Builder Punch.

I also stamped the topper images in Tuxedo Black and punched them with the Strawberry Builder Punch.  Then I adhered them to the top of the strawberries with Liquid Glue.

On a strip of Basic White, I stamped the Sweet Strawberry sentiment in Poppy Parade – then I added some faux stitching with my Balmy Blue Stampin’ Write marker.

I adhered the middle strawberry onto the card front with Liquid Glue.  Next, I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals – then added the other two strawberries, also with Dimensionals.

I added a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the top of each strawberry, then stuck a sweet little Bumblebee Trinket onto the sentiment with a Glue Dot and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a floral image from Sweet Strawberry in Tuxedo Black on a Basic White panel.  I used my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush like a paintbrush to color the flowers – using ink that I picked up from the lid of my Poppy Parade Ink Pad.  Then I added a couple of Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the flower centers.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Poppy Parade mat and into my Balmy Blue card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sweet Strawberry floral image on the front…

…and more of the Your’e A Peach DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Sweet Strawberry Bundle is undeniably wonderful – I love a good punch and the Strawberry Builder Punch is really fun to use to build summer scenes – and they work especially well with the You’re a Peach DSP!  Don’t forget about the Stitched With Whimsy dies, either – they’re such a great way to add a little BAMM to your projects!

I hope you like!
