Stampin’ Up! Tranquil Thoughts for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I haven’t played too much with the Tranquil Thoughts bundle – but…I should have been!  It’s got such pretty florals – and the sentiment I used on today’s card is one of my favorite pairs!  Take a look-see:

And here’s the sketch we were all working with today!

I used the color palette from this week’s The Paper Players challenge.

I started by adhering a panel of Seaside Spray 2019-2021 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of a Seaside Spray card base, using Liquid Glue.

Next – I used the large corner die in the Tranquil Die set (bundled with the Tranquil Thoughts stamp set for a 10% savings!) to cut a piece in Seaside Spray.  Note:  this die is a little long for American A2 cards, so you’ll want to trim just a smidge off the long end – like I did on this one.

I adhered the die cut to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped some Tranquil Thoughts flowers in Highland Heather and some leaves in Old Olive on Basic White.  And a few more Old Olive leaves stamped on Old Olive.  I cut them all with their dies in the Tranquil Die set.

I cut the largest oval Stitched Shapes die from Basic White.

To build the focal art – I popped the oval on with Stampin’ Dimensionals – then used Liquid Glue to adhere the leaves.  The flowers are adhered with Liquid Glue – and a few Dimensionals where they “fall” off the edge of the oval die cut.

I stamped the Tranquil Thoughts sentiment in Old Olive on a strip of Basic White – snipped banner ends with my scissors – and popped it onto the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Pastel Pearls – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the second Tranquil Thoughts sentiment in Old Olive on a Basic White panel.  Then I added the flowers in Highland Heather in the corners – and a single Pastel Pearl.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Old Olive mat and into the Seaside Spray card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Highland Heather Tranquil Thoughts flowers on the front…

…and more of the Seaside Spray 2019-2021 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think the flowers in the Tranquil Thoughts set are so pretty – especially in Highland Heather – don’t you??  And the bundled Tranquil Dies makes it super easy to cut everything out – not to mention the gorgeous corner die!  And there are several other very cool dies in the set, too!

I hope you like!
