Stampin’ Up! Paper In Blooms Fun Fold for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a theme challenge to work with today and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I decided to play with the In Bloom Bundle and the coordinating Paper Blooms DSP (this is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and is FREE with a $50 purchase – but ONLY thru 28 Feb when SAB ends!) to create a super easy fun-fold.  Take a look-see:

And – the fun fold wasn’t an accident! 😉

I also played along with the TGIF challenge this week!

And I played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, too! I went across the middle!

This is a super easy fun fold – which is why I love it!

I started with a striped piece of Paper Blooms DSP that I matted on Petal Pink cardstock, then adhered to a piece of Night of Navy – so the card front and card base was all done! 🙂

I cut a smaller piece of Night of Navy to make the little front card.

I matted another design of Paper Blooms DSP to a Petal Pink mat and adhered it to the front of the small card.  Then I adhered the card to the center of my cardbase with Liquid Glue.

Next, I used the dies in the bundled Pierced Blooms Die set to cut a couple of flowers from one of the Paper Blooms DSP papers.

I also used the dies – there are a LOT of them and they’re all super fun! – to cut some Petal Pink, Seaside Spray and Night of Navy flowers and leaves.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from In Bloom in Night of Navy and cut it with the label die in Pierced Blooms.

I started adhering flowers and leaves – starting at the right side of the card front – with Liquid Glue.  Then I added the sentiment.  More leaves and flowers followed on the other side.  I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals as needed to support petals and leaves.  The little striped flower on top is also popped up with Dimensionals.

I added some Night of Navy gems from the Holiday Rhinestones and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a sentiment from Oval Occasions in Night of Navy to a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I added flowers from In Bloom in Petal Pink, Night of Navy and Seaside Spray.  Then I added a few Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestones in the middle of a couple three flowers.

I matted the panel on Petal Pink and then adhered it inside the card with Liquid Glue and my fun-fold was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more In Bloom flowers on the front….

…and a little more Paper Blooms DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  See why I love this fun-fold?  So quick and easy but just enough “different” to get your recipient’s attention!  The In Bloom set – with its bundled Pierced Blooms Dies – is a perfect accompaniment to the pretty Paper Blooms DSP (how cool is it that the dies cut some of the flowers from the DSP!?).
