Stampin’ Up! New Butterfly Bouquet Sneak Peek with Video Tutorial!

Good morning and happy Friday!  Whatcha got planned for the weekend?  Something fun?  Working outside?  Shoveling snow?  I don’t know for sure what we WILL be doing – but, I do know – FOR SURE – that we will NOT be shoveling snow! 😉

If you were able to join me for my YouTube live yesterday, I appreciate you spending part of your day with me!  If not, here’s the replay!

You might not recognize the elements of this card – and that’s cuz…it’s not available yet!  Nope – this is the Butterfly Bouquet bundle and some new designer paper!  These are available to demonstrators right now – and folks who JOIN right now!! – and will be available to customers on 2 March!  You’ll get more details as we get closer, I promise!  I got mine in the mail on Thursday morning and went to work right away to make a card to share with you.  This is an image-only set, so I added a sentiment and banner from the Vine Design bundle.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card is from the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.

And the colors are from the Color Throwdown Challenge.

I started with a piece of the new Nature’s Touch Specialty DSP – this is part of the Butterfly Brilliance collection – and it’s truly gorgeous!  This paper – literally – has texture like a wooden surface.  No – you won’t get splinters, but…it’s very realistic!!  I matted it on Purple Posy for the card front.

I pulled out the Brilliant Wings Dies (bundled with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set) and…using the biggest die…

…I cut out 6 gorgeous butterflies from one of the designs in the Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP.  Look!

This paper is gorgeous, too, y’all – you get 48 sheets – 8 each of 6 double-sided designs!  Think of the possibilities!

I also used three of the detailed butterfly dies and cut three Vellum cardstock butterflies.  Using my Fine Tip Glue Pen, and putting glue just under the bodies of the butterflies, I adhered the vellum die cuts to the DSP cuts.  I used Pearl Basic Jewels on all three butterfly bodies.

I used a couple of Glue Dots to adhere a Gold Hoop Embellishment to the card front.  Then I tied a Linen Thread Double-loop bow and adhered it with another Glue Dot.

I popped the largest Mint Macaron butterfly on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from Vine Design in Mint Macaron, then cut it with the label die in the bundled Flowering Vine die set.  I adhered it with Liquid Glue.

I added the pink butterfly with Liquid Glue and popped the small yellow guy on with more Dimensionals.

Using my Dark Purple Posy Stampin’ Blend, I colored one medium and four small Pearl Basic Jewels, which I added to the card front to finish off the card front.

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to stamp just the top part of the big Butterfly Bouquet image onto the bottom of a panel of Basic White in Tuxedo Black.  I colored them with my Purple Posy and Mint Macaron Blends Combos and the Dark Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Purple Posy mat and into my Basic Black card base, adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the Butterfly Bouquet flutterbies on the front…

…and another design from Butterfly Bijou on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well???  Do you love it already!?!  Boy – I sure do.  Gotta say – when I first saw it I was thinking…more butterflies?  What??  But now?  Oh yes.

So – are you tracking that the Butterfly Bouquet set is a SINGLE stamp?  Yes – all 6 butterflies are on a single piece of red rubber.  AND – that image is cut perfectly by the large die in the Brilliant Wings set (the same one that cuts the DSP butterflies!).  So…stamped and colored or…cut from the DSP…you get 6 gorgeous die cuts in one pass thru your Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine!

The two designer papers – which will only be available during the Butterfly Bouquet Promotion (2 Mar – 3 May) are equally gorgeous! Be sure to check out the flyer down below!

I hope you like – and are ANXIOUSLY awaiting your chance to get them for yourself.  Or…you could ALSO join the Stampin’ Up! team as a hobby demonstrator and get them right now!  Holler at me and I’ll tell you how!

If you’d like to recreate this card, all the products and card cuts are listed below!

Finn Fan Fix

So – Wednesday was World Read Aloud Day.

Did you celebrate? 😉

Well – Finn and I took part in a HUGE online ZOOM read-aloud with our friends at People Animals Love (PALS).  During the course of the day, 120 PAL dogs listened to young readers from across the USA and Canada–and one child from Cyprus!  Fun!

Finn and I listed to a story about Fangsgiving with one young person and Clifford the Big Red Dog with another.

Finn sorta got sleepy – what’s a guy to do when you’re hearing bedtime stories!?

So….let’s play a game!  Where’s Finn?!?

  1. Such a pretty card! Love those butterflies and the pretty woodgrain paper! 🙂 Well…Finn is right there in that top picture. I can only see a tiny bit of him since it’s mostly a photo of your computer. 😉

OMG..World Read Aloud Day via Zoom! How awesome is that?! The librarian in me LOVES it and I can tell you, it is hard to read aloud and show pictures in the camera while zooming. I found not only Finn listening but Mary too! Yay for PALs.
Oh yeah, the card is awesome too. I love the outline and detailed dies but still not sure about the stamp as one…mine might get cut apart!

Yes – one young ‘un would show Finn the pages when she’d read them – the other realized the futility of that! It was fun – we enjoy doing it! Thank you so much, Susan! 🙂
