Stampin’ Up! Always in My Heart Sneak Peek Anniversary Card!

Happy Monday, y’all! Did you know…this is National Thank God It’s Monday Day?  And – although you might think it happens a few times a year – or a month! – you’d’a thunk wrong.

Nope.  Only the first Monday in January. So…savor this important National Day.  You won’t get to enjoy it again for 365 more days!

It is ALSO….Jan – June 2021 Mini Catalog Launch Day EVE.  Which really IS cause to celebrate!  Whoo-hoo!  Only one more day to go and you’ll be able to get yer mitts on all the new goodies you’ve been seeing for the past couple of weeks!  And…I’ve got ANOTHER one for you to add to your list today.  It’s the Always in My Heart stamp set with the bundled – and gorgeous!! – Floral Heart Dies!  I paired these up with the black-and-white beauty of True Love DSP for today’s project.  Take a look-see:

Yep – it’s elegant in Black and White thanks to the TGIF Color challenge this week!

I started by matting two pieces of the pretty True Love DSP on Basic Black and adhering the smaller panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

From the same pattern of the paper that I used on the card front, I used the large heart die in Floral Heart to cut a simple heart shape.

I used the same die to cut a Whisper White shape.  Tip: the middle of the die cuts a perfect heart for use on your project now or to keep for later!  I kept mine for another time.

I adhered the Whisper White cut out to the card front with Liquid Glue, then popped the DSP heart in the negative space with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Basic Black cardstock, I stamped the Always in My Heart sentiment in Versamark Ink, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.

I cut the sentiment with the banner die in Floral Heart and then used mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue to adhere it across the heart.  Tip:  stick a mini dimensional under the folded section of the banner.  That holds the banner shape in place – then you can use the Liquid Glue on the back of the “tails” to adhere it to your card.

I also stuck a couple of the black dimensionals under the body of the banner. 🙂

I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Always in My Heart sentiment and flower in Tuxedo Black to a Whisper White panel.  A single Rhinestone finished it off!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat, then to a True Love DSP panel – ALSO matted on Black – and then into my Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Always in My Heart flower on the front…

…and more of the True Love DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this new True Love DSP – so many ways to use it!  Leave it black and white, color it with brayers or Blends or Watercolor Pencils!  And you have florals and geometric designs for all kinds of projects!

The Always in Your Heart bundle will be a wonderful addition to your tool box for Valentine’s Day and beyond!  And that gorgeous Floral Heart….wow!

I hope you like!

  1. Such a pretty card! Love the black and white polka dots. 🙂

Yep…whatcha doin’ in there? Must be something really good if you shut the door…if you shut the door, I’ll sit outside and cry because I’m missing out on the fun. So don’t shut the door, okay? 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – his feelings get terribly hurt when I shut him out. So…I usually don’t! I’m a sucker for the eyes! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂

  2. Bernice P

Very pretty card Mary. I love black and white… so sophisticated.

  3. Thank you for the Monday trivia info. I had never heard of it. I love your monochromatic creation. I’m seriously considering that set and DSP. Those Finn eyes! Chester lays on the floor outside the door and sticks his little paws under the door. Living in FL, there has to be space under the doors to allow for expansion so we’ve been told anyway. Not sure if I believe that but there is a one inch gap on bedroom and bathroom doors.

    • stampsnlingers

LOL! That’s as good a story as I can come up with, too! Expansion! Thanks so much, Karen! 🙂

  4. Charlotte Hutcheson

What a beautiful and sophisticated card…I send out a number of anniversary cards and this would be perfect…love the black and white. And you comment about going to the bathroom with company is and was so true…made me laugh out loud.

    • stampsnlingers

Glad to give you a chuckle! Thanks so much, Charlotte! 🙂

  5. LindaB

OMG That is JUST what those eyes are saying! (love the card) but the DOG! ADORE the DOG!

    • stampsnlingers

I know – he’s got the star power, for sure! Thanks, Linda! 🙂

  6. For Many Years I had absolutely NO bathroom privacy. You get used to it.
Wow! Stunningly gorgeous card! I love, love love this one. Hard to beat black and white…sometimes.

    • stampsnlingers

It doesn’t bother me – he tells no tales! 😉 Thanks, Julie! 🙂

  7. DIANNE RAY
