Stampin’ Up! Classic Christmas Tree Angle Card

Good Monday morning, y’all!  Hope you had a great weekend!  Anyone get a look at the Geminids?  I would have – but…maybe y’all know how early I go to bed?  Also – COLD outside!  So…I watched for a while on a Live event on YouTube.

While typing this blog!  I call that multi-tasking!

My card today is a Christmas card.  Yes – I KNOW I’ve said I’m done with Christmas cards but…any day now I’ll truly be DONE with Christmas cards until 2021!  This one features the Tree Angle set (which is on sale for 20% off in the Year-End Clearance!) and the coordinating Stitched Triangles Dies.  I added some fun Christmas Classic 6″ x 6″ DSP – which, while not on sale, IS leaving us at the end of the Aug – Dec Catalog.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the sketch at the Inspired By challenge!

And some of the elements are from the Festive Friday challenge!

I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock that I matted on Cherry Cobbler for the card front.

I cut two Sahara Sand pieces of the Classic Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP using a Stitched Rectangle Die.  These are adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Tree Angle sentiment in Cherry Cobbler between the two die cut rectangles.

Using a couple three different sizes and shapes of dies in the Stitched Triangles Die set, I cut some fun designs from Classic Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP in Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce.

I adhered three of the trees above and below the sentiment with Liquid Glue – and popped the final two on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added Star Designer Elements – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Tree Angle sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on a Whisper White panel.  In the corner, I stamped a Shaded Spruce tree – and added a Star Designer Element.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into my Sahara Sand card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got the Shaded Spruce tree on the front…

…and a little more Classic Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Tree Angle stamp set is a bit of a fly-over set, no doubt – but…it’s sweet in its simplicity!  And the fact that it has dies that match the images in the Stitched Triangles Dies.

And the Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, and Sahara Sand designs in the Classic Christmas 6″ x 6″ DSP are wonderful for the season – or even year-round!

I hope you like!

  1. I haven’t used my triangle dies enough. You made great use of them! The Finnster knows how to speak with his eyes.

  2. Pretty card! Love the clean design and those trees are too cute! I do recognize that look…Ginny gives it to us often starting at about 8 PM. I guess that movie stars do need their beauty sleep. 😉
