Stampin’ Up! Curvy Snowflake Wishes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a theme challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

With our theme front of my mind, I pulled out the pretty Snowflake Splendor DSP as a starting point.  Snowflake Wishes seemed like a good addition – as did a pine tree from the Pine Woods Dies.  And…not to be left-out – I made a few “snowbanks” from a Curvy Dies edge die.  Take a look-see:

Gosh – can you GUESS what our theme challenge was? 😂

And – I used the sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for the layout! 🙂

I started with a piece of the Snowflake Splendor DSP that I matted on Balmy Blue for the card front.

I adhered a 2″ wide strip of Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper to the front with Liquid Glue.  Then I used that as a “base” for some Curvy Dies snowbanks!

I cut a Whisper White snowbank with the edge die in the Curvy Dies set – and cut it down into 2″ wide sections.  On one piece, I used the Banner Triple Punch to bannerize the end.

I built a layered snowbank – adhering the bottom layer to the Glimmer Paper with Liquid Glue – then adding the next two pieces with Stampin’ Dimensionals – with the bannerized bank going on top!

I cut a small Pine Woods Dies tree from Whisper White and tucked it into the snowbank – adhering it with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the Snowflake Wishes sentiment in Balmy Blue on a Whisper White strip and cut both ends with the Banner Triple Punch.  Then I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Snowflake Adhesive-Backed Embellishments here and there and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second Snowflake Wishes sentiment in Balmy Blue to a Whisper White panel.  Over it, in stamped-off-once Pool Party, I added the snowflake images from the set.  I added a few more of the Snowflake Embellishments to finish it off!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Balmy Blue mat and into my Pool Party card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium White Envelope got more of the Pool Party snowflakes on the front…

…and more of the Snowflake Splendor DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think Snowflake Wishes definitely checked the Snow/Snow Scene/Snowflake theme box, don’t you?  Especially with the help of the Snowflake Splendor DSP and a pretty Pine Woods Dies tree!

MAGNETIC CUTTING PLATE UPDATE

Stampin’ Up! posted this update last night!  Due to quality concerns, and to ensure our customers have the best possible product, we have decided to shut off the Magnetic Cutting Plate (item 149656), effective immediately. As a workaround, we suggest that you and your customers use washi tape or sticky notes with standard plates to keep your dies aligned during use.

We are working hard to resolve the issues with this product. However, we are unable to estimate when or what that will be at this time. As always, we will keep you posted with any updates.

All demonstrators and customers who have previously ordered the Magnetic Cutting Plate will automatically receive coupon codes in an email as compensation. This email will be issued sometime in November, so be on the lookout for that. Feel free to keep or discard your Magnetic Cutting Plates as we do not need them returned.
