Stampin’ Up! Gather Together for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Give Thanks!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to go a little straight-down-the-highway and pulled out one of my faves – the Gather Together stamp set and splendiferous Gathered Leaves dies!  Then, cuz I could! – I used some wunnermus Plaid Tidings DSP!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the TGIF sketch challenge this week!

I started with some Plaid Tidings DSP that I matted on Bumble Bee for the card front.  A different pattern became the Bumble-Bee-matted strip across the front – all adhered with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the big leaf from Gathered Leaves in stamped-off-once Bumble Bee, then I cut it with the matching die in Gathered Leaves.  I stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss.

I used the other three leaves dies – the ones that emboss as they cut! – to cut three Bumble Bee leaves.  TIP: don’t forget to lightly spritze the card stock with water using a Stampin’ Spritzer.

Before building the collage, I also cut three Poinsettia Dies berries from bronze Brushed Metallic card stock.

I started by sticking a few Glue Dots in the middle of the center strip.  Then I used those to adhere some loops of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim.

Then I added the berries and embossed leaves with Liquid Glue.

I finished off with the sentiment leaf – popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

I added some clear Wonderful Gems here and there – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added another stamped-off-once Bumble Bee leaf in the corner of a Whisper White panel.  Then I stamped a second sentiment in Blackberry Bliss.  TIP: Corner placement not speakin’ to you?  Do the same treatment in the middle of the panel for a more traditional look! 🙂

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee mat and into my Blackberry Bliss card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another leaf – and one more sentiment! – on the front…

..and more of that wonderful Plaid Tidings on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  I feel confident in saying that the Gathered Leaves Dies are some of my favorite dies of all time!  Those embossed leaves are…amazeballs!  And the coordinating Gather Together stamp set is the perfect complement.

And – here’s yet ANOTHER gorgeous plaid from my much-loved Plaid Tidings! SO many wonderful color combinations – truly season-spanning paper!!

I hope you like!
