Stampin’ Up! You’re the Way To Goat!

Good morning!  Happy start-of-the-week!  Hope you had a good weekend – ours was a little soggy.  But – I still managed to get some time in with my ponies!  I decided that I’ve been falling down on one of the things I meant to do when I retired and that was ride.

Like..I haven’t.

At all.

🙁

Interestingly, the girls are enjoying the attention.  Until yesterday morning, maybe, when I pulled out the saddles and tacked them up!  THEN the pony-lightbulbs came on and I think they thought…ruh-roh! It’s all fun and games until SOMEone ends up in a SADDLE!! 😂

But – I did take time to make some cards over the weekend and one of them is really the Greatest Of All Time! 😉  I mean, of course, that I used the fun Way to Goat stamp set!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the FUSION challenge – and, actually, I pulled elements from the inspiration photo, too!

I started with a piece of In Good Taste DSP for the card front.

I cut a large-ish Stitched Rectangle die from Whisper White and stamped the fun little flower-holding goat from Way to Goat set in Early Espresso ink.

I colored the image with my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends combo for the body.  Her hair and tail and beard (I’m pretty sure girl goats can have beards…) are Terracotta Tile – colored with my Stampin’ Write Marker.  The flower is colored with the Bumble Bee marker.

I adhered the finished panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using more dies from the Tasteful Labels dies, I cut a Bumble Bee tag from the 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP and a Terracotta Tile tag from the 2019-2020 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP.

I adhered the Bumble Bee tag to the card front with Liquid Glue – then snipped the excess to align it with the top of the card front.  Then I popped the Terracotta Tile tag on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the card front to a Bumble Bee mat.

Next up, I stamped the Way to Goat sentiment in Terracotta Tile on Whisper White and cut it with a Tasteful Labels die.  I also cut a Bumble Bee label using the same die.

I cut the Bumble Bee die cut in half length-wise and adhered it – with the two pieces slightly separated – to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a length of Terracotta Tile 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon to cover the gap.  Then I popped the sentiment over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment in Terracotta Tile on a Whisper White panel.  In the corner, I added a second goat and colored her the same as I’d done on the front.  I used my Terracotta Tile Stampin’ Write Marker to add some little squiggles here and there around the image.  I added a single Bumble Bee 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dot next to the sentiment.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Bumble Bee mat and into my Terracotta Tile card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another dancing goat on the front…

…and more of the In Good Taste DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think that the Way to Goat set is one of the cutest that we’ve got, don’t you?  The expressions on their faces are just priceless!

I hope you like!

  1. Such a cute card! Love the colors, your goat is too cute too! Yep, Finn does seem to come by some of his crazy faces quite naturally. 🙂

  2. She’s got Bonnie Aussie eyes! You’re welcome!! Actually her eyes remind me of husky eyes. Your card is fantastic in design, colors and, of course, the wood grain. Love how you colored the goats.
