Stampin’ Up! Everything Essential Celebration Halloween

How goes the week, my friends?  Well, I hope!  Do you realize that it’s almost September?  I know that wouldn’t normally mean anything – but…you MIGHT want to read down after the card section (on your way to the FFF – yes, I know).  We’ve got an AMAZEBALLS joining special coming up on 1 Sept – and you’re going to WANT TO CHECK IT OUT!!

I made a fun Halloween card for you today – using a couple of bundles in the Aug – Dec Mini!  The Everything Essential AND the Celebration Tidings bundle!  Plus…a little Plaid Tidings DSP… take a look-see:

Yea – I’m sorta on a roll with the Playful Alphabet dies!! ROFL!

The layout for this one was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) This Sketch challenge!

I started by once again embossing a card-front-sized panel of cardstock – this one is Basic Black. I embossed it in the Cobwebs 3D Embossing Folder.  Then I ran my Whisper White Craft Ink Pad over the top to highlight the raised cobwebs – and adhered it to the front of my Basic Black card base.

Next up, I matted a piece of Halloween-y Plaid Tidings DSP on a double mat of Blackberry Bliss and Pumpkin Pie.

I used some Liquid Glue to adhere a Square Vellum Doily.

I cut a Celebration Dies label from Pumpkin Pie – embossed it in the Cobwebs folder – and adhered it to the card front.

I stamped the pumpkin image from the Everything Essential stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White and punched it with the bundled Essential Tag Punch. I colored him with my Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Combo and added faux stitches with my Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker.  Then, using a regular ole school paper punch from the grocery store – I punched a hole in the top of the tag and looped a short piece of 1 1/2″ Metallic Mesh Ribbon thru it.  Then I popped it onto the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stuck some Black Glitter Paper onto a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet and then cut the letters and punctuation from it using the Playful Alphabet Dies.   I stuck the words on… ever so whimsically!  In fact, it was SO whimsical that…I punched two circles of Bumble Bee (same grocery store punch) and popped them into the two O’s with small pieces of Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And that was it for the card front! 🙂

On the inside, I added a sentiment from the Celebration Tidings stamp set in Tuxedo Black.  Then I stamped a veritable, Congress-Avenue-Bridge-Worthy swarm of bats from Everything Essential, in Blackberry Bliss.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Blackberry Bliss and Pumpkin Pie mat and into the Basic Black card base – popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more bat-swarm on the front…

…and more of that pretty Plaid Tidings DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I think I can safely say this is a TOTALLY not-scary Halloween card!  I mean – that grinning Everything Essential jack-o-lantern is too cute!  And it’s just one of the fun holiday-images in the set – and they all punch with the cool, bundled Essential Tag Punch!

And I think the Celebration Tidings Bundle contains tons of “go-to’s!” – stamped images and that incredible die set!
