Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!! Today’s a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table! I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
For my card today, I used a couple of new goodies that you’ll be able to get for free when the Sale-a-Bration Second Release goes live on 3 Mar (or….quicker if you join my team – just throwing that out there!). I picked the Well Dressed stamp set (new SAB) and the Clubhouse stamp set (2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog), plus…Flowering Florals Specialty DSP (new SAB!) to make you a masculine birthday card. Take a look-see:
And – here’s the sketch we were all working from….
This one is easy-peasy, so…here goes!
I started with a piece of the grid-covered new Flowering Foils Specialty DSP…
…and used my Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend to color it in. Then I matted it on Mossy Meadow for the card front.
The small panel is Night of Navy, embossed in the Absolutely Argyle 3D Embsosing Folder, matted on Mossy Meadow and adhered to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On Crumb Cake, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment from the Clubhouse stamp set in Mossy Meadow. I also used the Stamparatus to stamp the fedora from Well Dressed (this is the new one!) in Mossy Meadow.
I fussy cut the fedora and cut the sentiment with the smallest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle die.
I looped some Linen Thread around a few times, twisted it into a “figure 8” and tied it in the middle with a smaller piece of Linen Thread. I adhered the resulting big, untidy, loose “bow” to the card front with a Glue Dot.
Using Stampin’ Dimensionals and some Liquid Glue, I adhered the sentiment over the loop.
I used another Dimensional and more Liquid Glue to adhere my fussy cut fedora.
A single Night of Navy gem from the Holiday Rhinestones finished off the card front.
On the inside, I added the fedora in Mossy Meadow to the top corner of a Crumb Cake panel. I made a pair of shoes in Mossy Meadow with a sticky note mask. I stamped the shoe once on the panel in Mossy Meadow – and also on a sticky note. I fussy cut the sticky note version and laid it over the first shoe. Then I stamped the image again – offset just a bit. When I picked up the mat…a PAIR appeared!!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mossy Meadow mat and into my Night of Navy card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done
My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got a Mossy Meadow fedora on the front…
…and more of the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love this Flowering Foils Specialty DSP, don’t you? So many coloring options – Blends, sponges, daubers, brayer! And the Well Dressed stamp set will give you lots of masculine images to play with and combine with any sentiment you like! Like…maybe from the Clubhouse set! I hope you like!

Love this card! It must have taken some patience to color it with blends. Great result though.
