Stampin’ Up! Bee So Sweetly Sentimental for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

The color challenge really focused my attention on the Golden Honey Specialty DSP (which is a Level 1 – $50 reward in Sale-A-Bration.  That’s code for FREE with a $50 order!) and I added the coordinating Honey Bee Bundle and the So Sentimental Bundle to round it all out.  Take a look-see:

What – oh WHAT?!? – could the color challenge possibly BEE?!?!

I also grabbed a layout from this week’s Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.

I started with the Black and Gold striped paper in the Golden Honey Specialty DSP and matted it on Basic Black for the card front.

I used the honeycomb die in the Detailed Bee Die Set to cut a Gold Glimmer Paper honeycomb and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Then I matted a smaller piece of a second design (black with gold honeycomb) on Basic Black and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I took a final design (white with black leaves and bees) and adhered a smaller rectangle with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic Black cardstock, I stamped the beehive image from the Honey Bee stamp set in Versamark, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  Then I cut it out with the die in the bundled Detailed Bee Die set.

I adhered the beehive to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Whisper White, in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, I used my Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment from Honey Bee.  I cut that out with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set.  Then I used Liquid Glue and Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment.

On Whisper White, I stamped both bee images in Tuxedo Black and cut them with their matching dies.  I also stamped the large bee on Vellum card stock.  Hint:  this takes a minute (or a FEW minutes!) to dry.  Don’t rush it!

I used my Crushed Curry (hey – it’s gold-adjacent!) Stampin’ Write Marker to color the bees.  Then I curled the wings of the two larger bees with my Bone Folder.  Using a Glue Dot, I adhered the Vellum bee to the card stock bee.  Then I added it to the bee hive with Liquid Glue.  I brushed the wings with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

I used a Black Dimensional and Liquid Glue to adhere the small bee by the sentiment.  I tied a little bow from Black Baker’s Twine in the Country Club Baker’s Twine Combo Pack and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

To finish it all off, I adhered a few of the Gold Glimmer Paper hexagons (that came out of the die cut honeycomb) onto the card front – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I used my Stamparatus to add a sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set in Tuxedo Black on a Whisper White panel.  Over that, I added the beehive in Crushed Curry.  I stamped the little bee in Tuxedo Black – and colored it with my Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into my Whisper White card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Crushed Curry beehive and Tuxedo Black bee on the front…

…and some more of the Golden Honey Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How gorgeous is the Golden Honey Specialty DSP?!?  And – it’s FREE during Sale-A-Bration!  Wow!

The So Sentimental Bundle with the uber-wunnermus Stitched So Sweetly Die set is a total workhorse and one of my absolute favorite new goodies!  Sentiments and cool shapes?  Winner Winner!

And – bees are so “right now”  and on trend.  And just so stinkin’ cute!  So the Honey Bee stamp set and bundled Detailed Bee Dies….perfect!

I hope you like!
